Mxengineer1, I seen your YouTube video and I was wondering what bike you selected in the MyKTM app? I downloaded the app and it only shows 2020 FE and then 2021 plain sxf model. Which did you select for the bike? Unless I’m missing something I didnt see any 2021 FE listed. I don’t even know if it matters which one we choose but I would have thought different year models would have had different ECU settings. Any info on this is helpful.

You are correct - the myKTM app does not list a '21.5 450 Factory Edition (though it does give you the option to select the 20.5 450 Factory Edition). Select the '21 450SXF model which has the same base map as your new 21.5 450 Factory Edition.

I did a quick ride around the shop to try out the myKTM app and it can make a noticeable difference in the power character of the bike. I posted a short write up on Thumpertalk....

The KTM engines take a longer time to break in and loosen up (20~25 hours). The Sand/Dry track map with max throttle response, min engine braking, and Map 2 gave the engine noticeably quicker/snappier throttle response than the stock setting on Map 2 and this was with the stock slower turn throttle cam, non vented airbox cover, stock screen type air cleaner cage, and Akrapovic silencer with spark arrester insert. Pretty easy to dial up (or down) the power character on this latest 450 Factory Edition.

I noticed the same thing with my 2021.5 Husqvarna Rockstar Edition. On the app, there is no listing for 2021.5 RE, only 2021 FC 450 and the 2020 RE. I think you need to choose the 2020 Factory Edition or Rockstar Edition and not the regular 2021 models. Not because the engine mapping is different, but because the suspension settings are different on the FE and RE models than the standard models. With the KTM, it might not make a difference but I know for a fact that the suspension on the Rockstar Edition is completely different that the 2021 FC 450 (its not lowered 10mm) and it has different air pressure settings. I don't know this for a fact but I suspect there are no differences between the 2020 FE/RE and the 2021.5 FE/RE other than graphics and the connectivity unit included with the bike.
