Craig stepped up tonight. He didn't luck in to this, he rode his ass off and was fast and consistent all night. One tip over in the qualy and nothing but speed and determination the rest of the night. Very much a title contender as I do not think this was a flash in the pan.

I had the same question. He turns 30 in July. That said he put in a really good ride.

Throughout his career he's raced full seasons in the 450 class as a fill in for both TLD on a Honda and HRC. He also missed a good hunk of racing with his doping ordeal he had to battle in court. Maybe that has something to do with his pointing out. I'm not sure.

Regardless, he looked insanely fast tonight. Would love to see him get a title.

I don't know the answer directly to your question but Davalos and Cunningham have made careers out of the 250 class. He's not "sandbagging" the class as he hasn't won a championship. And he generally performs well at a few races throughout the year but hasn't quite been in title contention. Would be nice to see him carry this home.

I was so happy to see him win, how can you not root for the guy! I’d love to see him get the title and slot up to the Star 450 ride next year

Broken Back- out for over a year.
Never fully recovered- broken wrists, etc...
Retired for 2 years.
Fill in rides when Honda called him up.

I think it's was said with the broken back and retirement combined was close to 4 years (the back wasn't his fault as his TLD Honda locked up on the face of a triple).

Glad to see him where he is. Regardless of age, it's a great story. Hard to argue the work put in.

So a 250 win means as much if not more than a 450 win now? Just asking because the 125 class (250f now) was always just the beginner class. If so the 450 pros should drop down. I see zero reason for 2 equal classes just on different bikes. Speaking as a fan who wants 1 pro class and zero concerns of others incomes.
