I have to be honest and say I am kinda rooting for Libor Podmol. He managed a backflip on one of those beasts. Not that is in anyway going to help him in the race.

Super bummed for TP, hopefully he'll give it another go on bikes. I think it's gonna be sooner than later he moves to cars/trucks full time. His body has taken a beating and he's already got a taste of racing with a cage and clearly loves it.

Sandman Sam needs to bring it home or KTM might not even have a bike on the Podium, what a day that would be!

3 days to go, probably every man for himself from here on out. The last day is a 400km+ special test so it should be real racing rather than just a parade to the finish like some years.

Skyler Howes still looking great in 7th!

Toby Price is such a beast. I wonder how the airbag worked? The guy sure can take a beating- seems like Aussies have a higher pain tolerance, or their optimism can't be bothered by hitting the ground at 100 km/hr Blink

Seriously, I watched a video of Sanders when he came in to the Marathon bivy with a toasted wheel and a mangled face....dude was as positive as if he'd just won the whole damn race!

So sad, this is going to be an uninspiring last few stages for me now. Good luck to those remaining and lets hope there are no more injuries......and lets hope these tyres hold up.

Wow...I'm so bummed for Cornejo...I honestly thought he had it!!! I think he will come back next year with renewed confidence and determination now that he knows he can do it.

I guess this is Dakar...expect the unexpected (and I'm ashamed to say that I absolutely did not expect to see Brabec within seconds of the overall lead after last week; shows what I know).

And Peterhansel doing what he does....that guy has got to be the absolute GOAT of Dakar. What a legend...

Mind boggling man!

By the time all is said and done they will have ridden the equivalent of going from Orlando to Anchorage, on dirt, navigating around dangers, while doing 180 KPH. Imagine the amount of concentration needed just to ride at their pace through the desert while navigating, I just can't even wrap my head around how challenging this race is.

At this point, they are averaging 62 mph over that entire distance!

Insane.

Who knows....

I think for the Honda boys it's gonna be every man for himself, at least until they see how Stage 11 plays out tomorrow.

I would expect KTM to have Walkner wait for Sunderland tomorrow to try to make sure he doesn't make any navigation mistakes.

Hmmmm wonder what the Orange Brigade guys did? They've already proved they will do anything and everything to win this race, even if that endangers the lives of their competitors....remember when Ricky B 'mysteriously' had his suspension changed by 20+ clicks overnight in the marathon stage a few years back?

This had to have been something pretty bad for Ricky to put it out publicly.

That's how I read that too. Was starting to look like a Honda 1-2-3.

He definitely sounds fired up. Love this though, it's all out on the last stage now.
