Interesting, thanks for information. What type of ceramic coat did you use? Was it a spray or the expensive small bottle of liquid you apply with an applicator pad? If it was the applicator pad did you have a two step ceramic? One to protect and then one for the hydrophobic properties?
I used Gyeon Cancoat. Typically it is applied using microfiber towels but i used an applicator block and suede cloth.

I have used the small bottle two step ceramic coating on cars but for the bike i wanted to test and did not want to waste the expensive coating.

You do need to degrease everything with isopropanol alcohol.

It was surprising to see how much these bikes get sandblasted. I also coated the underside of the frame and where the sand hits the coating was gone after 1 ride. The underside of the frame that is behind the front fender the coating is still there after 13 hrs.

Is that a central forge (Harbor freight) vise? How do you like it?

(If this is all info you already know, forgive me and promptly ignore my post)

I see you are getting some stuff from Mastercross, nice! But... that rear brake clevis is not the type ever used by any HRC team (if you care).

It's cool but not as cool as the high quality replica Vintagehonda.nl makes and sells.

Not sure if he still has some available but here’s the link to his page to purchase:

Another big order of parts tonight, billet ARC RC8 clutch perch and brake lever, titanium motostuff pegs, works connection stem nut and oil filter cover, brake return spring, bars in a cr low bend, lock on grips, OEM rear brake line guides, new throttle and clutch cables. I should have majority of stuff by end of next week. Then bike will go back together. Only thing left is about 600$ in carbon from cmt, a ful titanium fmf exhaust, and SM pro line wheels. Probably wont have updated for a little bit, but im sure ill find something to do. Also got a rear brake clevis from vintagehonda, an HRC rep, with ti pin and split pin. Really cool sleek design. Also, got my PC billet shift lever in, really nice piece from what i can tell.

Has anyone ever ceramic coated (the clear wipe on type youd use on a car after paint correction) swing arm of frame/other metal parts? I feel it would bond decent, give great protection, extreme hydrophobic properties, and very easy to clean. im not sure how long it would last in dirt and sand, im sure some parts would wear away after one ride, but im sure other areas would last quite a while, if road salt, bird droppings, brake dust etc. dont wear it off a car for 2 years of daily driving it might work well. I have some extra bottles laying around im going to try it, but if anyone has ever done it before which i doubt feel free to chime in.
The 2018+ bikes come with black guides and for the 2014. Sorry just noticed I quoted the wrong response.

Anyone recommend a good wheel set? Looking at sm pro lines, excles, DID stx. I love the look of sm pro lines platinums the matte finish is gorgeous on the black/red combo. Just looking for a great wheel set up that looks good to.

I have the STXs laced to talon pro billets on my KTM. Looks great and have held up excellent.

Swingarm chain guard, gold renthal o ring chain, oem air box, oem linkage bolt, rear axle and nut, swingarm pivot bolt and nut, oem throttle housing, then a bunch of random washers and bolts and nuts, all new bearings from all balls. Should have another shipment coming tomorrow with a few trick things, very excited.

Motor, linkage and swing arm are installed. Still have to put on my clutch cover, water pump, and new ignition cover but theyre all backordered so ill do it whenever they come. Linkage came out really nice with a nice polish, might order Ti linkage bolts. I have a ton of carbon on the way from cmt composites, also dropped off my subframe for a candy red powder coat.
