Sorry if I'm beating a dead horse here. Hopefully this will also help others and clear things up.
I have a 2004 crf250r I bought that wouldnt start.
I know these crf250r bikes have head problems. But many forums and articles said I would just need new SS valves and new springs. It seems they have been worked on before. The cam was backwards 180°.
I bought pro-x valves and springs and still have no clearance on the smallest shims.
I even feel like I'm pressing down on the springs when I'm putting in the cam so it's gotta be way way off. I had my machinist take off 10 thousands off the end of the valve stems and it had no effect.
Will new seats fix this problem? I dont really wanna buy a new head but I guess I will if thats what's needed.
If so, can I use my existing exaust valves and springs so all I would need is the head with seats already installed.
Thanks in advance.

I've heard others say if they change their intake they had to change the exaust as well.
But now I cant find anything else on that. And I couldn't find a complete set from KW. Plus my exaust are fine.
Also who should I send it to?
I just Googled what he said and all i got was: "how to install new valves", "how to lap your new valves"... etc lol.
