Has the torch been passed to Prado?

That 2nd moto looked to me like Prado got affected by the heat again. Let hope the torch is a battery operated one and not an open flame.

Prado was dominant in an age limited class. Ricky was just dominant.

Jorge Prado es el futuro y el siguiente multi-campeón.

Cairolli Will hand the torch to Prado after winning his 10th World title this year.
Yeah i think it is Cairoli's torch to hand over (regardless if he wins his 10th title or not).

And i wouldnt be surprised when in 10 or 20 years people will look back and think of the the 2015-2020 period as the time where Cairoli handed the torch over the Tim Gajser.

Tim has 3 titles in the past 5 years and could end up with 4 out of 6 at the end of 2020, including 3 MXGP titles.

Herlings is an amazing rider and when healthy imo he truly is the best in GP's. However 'just' 2 titles in the past 7 years. That in itself is painfull to think of, basically in all of these years except 2017 he was best in class but injuries ruined it.

Honestly the way this guy has been progressing despite his injuries he could win next year even with a 100% fit Herlings. Herlings probably has the edge speedwise but I'd hate to race someone like Prado for a championship. Gets like 70% of holeshots and hardly makes any mistakes. And he's probably not even close to his peak, he's only 19 years old. The improvements he made from 2018 to 2019 in MX2 are pretty amazing
I agree 100%. Prado is for real.

With Herlings constantly injured, I think Prado will be the top man now.

Prado was sick the day before the race in bed, with stomach problems, vomiting, on the day of the race he did not know if he could do the race. He won the first moto, but on the second he ran out of strength when he went first again.

If someone did not see the race here it is complete https://ridetwice.com/full-race-mxgp-2020-faenza-3/
