been slacking on this project lately, but getting moving again... the forks are done, and are being shipped from Hitchcock Industries in Denver. I brought the frame to work and had our welder add the tower for the steering stabilizer, then yesterday i took it to the powdercoater. i should get it back Monday and be able to start re-assembly! stay tuned for more pics!
Picked up the Frame yesterday from Impact Coating & Blasting in Caldwell, Idaho, and i'm very impressed with how it turned out! they did a very good job, and were able to protect the VIN, and the Honda model sticker.

Only had one day off this weekend so I didn't get as much done as I was hoping to. I got the garage all cleaned up and ready, and the old girl is now up on the operating table. still have a ton to do, but it's a start...
started getting the forks figured out. The front axle, wheel spacers and caliper carrier is going to be an adventure. waiting for the Bolt hardware kit that I ordered to show up and I can start to put more of it together.
made a bit more progress this weekend, linkage is all clean, greased and reassembled, suspension is on. Radiators are clean, and all the little fins have been straightened. next up is a deep clean on the motor, then that can go back in the frame.
little bit more progress from the weekend. Still a lot to do, but it's starting to look like something!
I've still been working through this whole quarantine mess, so I haven't had as much time to work on this as I'd like, but I recently got motivated! I've ordered what I hope will be the last of the parts I need, and am ready to get this moving!
working now on getting the motor cleaned up and back together.
Built a much brighter headlight at work. Sector Seven, the UTV brand in the Pro Moto Billet family, makes a set of UTV light mirrors, and I was able to re purpose some scrap pieces for my light. these two LED boards will put out a total of 4,000 lumens, with one spot and one flood reflector.
Pit Row
To this day.
Here's the subframe extension that was reproduced from an original one. the fab guy was a little too detailed and even put the tab on for the helmet holder, which i'll probably cut off. this thing is heavy, but will hopefully protect the super hard to find rear fender. (i am gonna ride this thing, but am a little worried about breaking stuff that i can't easily replace)
Actually it's closer than it looks. I had a stupid little getoff at King of the Motos (not racing) and broke my trapezium. three screws and a nasty pin later it's almost good to go. got the cast off on the 6th, and am working on getting mobility and strength back. should be ready to roost in early May maybe?
Starting to get the engine buttoned up. installed the stator, lighting coil, and flywheel weight. thanks to Ron Ribolzi at E-line for taking the time to find me the gaskets for a product that's been discontinued for almost 20 years!
Got a lot done this weekend! the motor is assembled, cleaned up and back in the frame. I put the tank and seat on so I could sit on it and get the bars adjusted, tighten up the handguards, and sort out the mount for the TrailTech Voyager Pro. that part was tricky because I wanted it to tuck behind the headlight, not sit way up on top of the bars. it's a tight fit with the FasstCo bars and stabilizer but i made it work.
Pay no attention to the front brake line routing, I ordered up one from a CRF450X that is longer than the stock CR250 one, and will run up over the top of the VPro. still waiting for the chain & sprockets to show up, and have graphics in the works. next up i have to build the wiring harness for the lights and then she'll be about ready to go!
Who did your graphics? that's just about all i'm waiting for on mine.
