Have a 2019 FC450. Curious what everyone’s thoughts are on either A) getting the stock ECU re-worked or Cool springing for a Vortex type aftermarket ECU?

Thanks!

If you can afford it, do the Vortex from Twisted or XPR. You will see more gains because they can push it farther than stock.

Stock remapped is good and less expensive but not as much of a gain.

i'm an occasional racer and never more than a competent novice. A pipe and remap and T4 is more than enough for me. If you haven't done so yet, invest in your suspension set-up.

I followed the Keefer build plan and did the FMF full system and Twisted Vortex ECU. The difference was amazing! Side note though I don't run the most aggressive/powerful map that they set up as it wears my old ass out to quick.

I sent my box to TokyoMods. Had them do their U4.4 mod map on my 450SX-F. From all my research this they have the smallest difference compared to a remap from twisted or going full vertex which they also offer.

My impression is they bike runs absolutely amazing! Using pump 93 is less than impressive, however, I usually have 100LL avgas for practice and U4.4 on race day.

I went with them because their customer service is top-notch! They have done right by me on a few occasions- to the extent of overnighting things free of charge so I could ride the next day.
