Did I see that right his times were faster than the fastest time of the 450's? I am probably wrong but I coulda sworn I saw laptimes in the 2:04's for Barcia and all the 450's were a few seconds off that? Anyone have laptimes to compare?

well hell......that's still pretty friggin impressive. A smooth track does help though.....remember Broc Tickle a couple years ago? He set the fastest time on a 250F all weekend at one certain race....can't remember which one.

Real motocross never use to have any tractors to smooth out corner ruts for National Pros.

Mt Morris...lap one, practice one, on the tilled. He holeshot practice and checked out practice......and then they changed the rules right after that.

Barcia threw the 204 on lap 3 or 4 of moto 1 and Speed put a caption up "new fastest lap of day".

x2 What is the deal with them prepping the track so much during the day?

Like I mentioned in another thread the ladies still ran before te 250's, granted they don't do as much damage to the track as the boys and their 30 +2 moto's still he didn't have a groomed virgin track to make those times.

The women are fast but their lines and braking/acceleration points are much different that taht of the guys like a novice ridden track vs a pro ridden track so even the 250's had to deal with some chop and ruts

Once Justin moved up to big bikes in the amateur ranks he would often set the fastest laptime for the event. To make matters worse for the A class guys, Justin was racing the B / Schoolboy classes. He only did one race as an A rider and that was the Mini O's.

There is no denying that the kid has mad speed, he always has.

Dunno Ron. You're down there in the nitty gritty; I'm part of the behind the fence gang nowadays.....Glad Brad and Tony made it...saw the Bee article and it was nice.

Maybe it's the TV thing; just know MX wasn't like this not that many years ago....

Kinda miss the fistfights every year in the old days......HA!

Good luck to the men....

faster lap times do not always equal a win.

Right. Setting fastest lap is awesome, but sometimes it doesn't matter if you can't back it up for 30 minutes plus 2 laps. In one moto last week Barcia had his fastest lap on lap 1 while Dungey had his fastest lap in the middle of the race!

Tractors should only be used to smooth out the start straight.
Nothing.
Else.
