Powder coating rims

I will be powder coating my rims blue... and am wondering if I can just tape over the spoke holes and hub holes when coating them? (Along with taking out the bearings)

I asume you want to powdercoat youre rims with youre wheels not taken apart. As i dont know of any bearings in my rim.Cool

I would take the wheel apart and powdercoat the rim separately

In my mind that would be easier than masking all the spokes. And probably look better in the end.

If you powdercoat stock rims there still lighter than aftermarket rims like excel or did. You only add about 10 grams of powder.

and about 8 grams of powder after the first ride in NY after the rocks start claiming their fair share of it.

Leave it alone or lace some anodized rims in the color of your choice.
