Hello vitalmx, new guy here working on a 96 CR250 that I picked up a couple weeks ago. Took the air box apart for cleaning & would like to know if there is any certain brand of contact cement you all use when you put the boot back into the airbox? I got all the original dried adhesive out & want to put something back in that's at least as good as what Honda used. Thank you for any advice.

I always use Honda grip glue which is a rubber cement. I believe that is actually what they use from the factory to seal the airboot/airbox junction. Silicone is too soft and peels away. I've used Honda grip glue for this over the years and it works great.

I have found an excellent product for the airboot to box seal. It takes a little longer to completely setup but it does not peel off like the regular black RtV and has held up very well to repeated washings. I use just enough to see it ooze out from the metal frame when tightened down.
