Another Graphics install question

Ive got graphics pretty well figured out from an installation standpoint, but I’m at loss for cleaning plastics. Contact cleaners usually leave the surface cloudy for me so my go to is isopropyl alcohol. Problem is, covid 19 has cleaned out every store near my for rubbing alcohol.

What alternatives do you suggest? If you’ve got a brand of less harsh contact cleaner or another solution, I’d love to hear it. the plastic are brand new acerbis.

Gasoline. It's really good at removing old glue and won't do anything to new plastic. It might be harsh on old plastic that are already toasted and doesnt have any clear left in it.

I recently used it on brand new Acerbis number plate and it didn't seem to do anything to it. You can always try on a little spot first to be sure. Good luck !

Has anyone used acetone to clean the plastics or would that be too harsh? I remember my friends dad using that back in the day but that was also on an all white plastic set so I was curious as well on what to use for a black set.

I use Honda contact cleaner for all decal/graphic installs. Never had a problem on old or brand new plastics.

acetone melts plastic. Dont use it. Something gentler like windex will work.

Use brake cleaner. Its cheap and takes the shine off the plastics so the graphics stick and bond. Then run them over with a heat gun after you get them fully stuck down.
