I believe this was to appease the AMA so Honda backed teams could run Akit suspension on their 125”s in SX. If offered to the public, then it was ok for the teams to use it. I think the forks were 5k, even back then, wonder how many privateers bought them? If anyone has a set, I will take them...

I have the piston in. Now I am cleaning the bottom half of the engine. I also painted the front master brake cylinder and polished the top.

Thanks for your kind words. I really appreciate it.
Check this out. Like many people I was having a problem with my inner clutch basket binding and not spinning independently of the outer clutch basket. I found that the inner great on the back of the clutch basket had very slightly worked its way out. I made a video of how I fixed it here:

I have also added some swing arm decals and some fork decals. The fork decals should help protect the outer surface of the fork.

Wow! Man that’s a lot of work and check out the bike lineup! Daaaaannnng! I was thinking about buying one of those ultrasonic cleaners and a tumbler for small parts -like the ones guys use for reloading. They’re pretty cheap. What did you do to clean/polish the small stuff? My wrists are kind of worn out and I can’t hold on to stuff that small. CR500 next???
