DNR is at .17 per share. Is there any coming back from a number that low? Its tempting.

6.6 m filled for unemployment and stock market is going up. If that`s not feds doing, I don`t know what is. It`s gonna be mayhem when this fairytale house of cards falls appart.

Yeah, about half my coworkers got furloughed today which was my big wake up call. This is going to get ugly. I sold all of my BA that I bought last week after a 50% gain but I didn't have a lot. I sold a little over half of my TSLA. Sold all of my VGT and SPCE at a loss. Still have 75 shares of TSLA and some other stuff that is so far down it's not worth selling. I don't believe people will be in the market for expensive cars for a little while. So I figure with these moves I'm okay either way it goes. I'm just going to ride it out for a little while until I have a better feel for how things are going to shake out. I figure I'll be able to pick up some bargains for sure no matter what in the coming months.
Glad to see this for them but bummed at the same time since my plan was to buy in after Q1 earnings.

Ha ha, I sell over half of my Tesla stock and they have their best quarter ever. Smile I am as bullish as they come on Tesla but I do think the next 2 quarters could be tough. I am hoping it gets back into the 300s and then buy. Might take 6 months. If not, I'm still not doing too bad. I'll put it into something else that's down.

It appears they have about 25,000 vehicles made but not sold (yet) during the quarter. This could impact earnings for Q1 but help Q2. Tesla is a lot different from other automakers since they own the showrooms. They generate revenue when the end user purchases where every other auto/motorcycle manufacturer realizes income when the vehicle ships to the franchised dealership.

They normally carry over less than 3,000 vehicles quarter to quarter. It’ll be interesting to see if those were in transit to customers or overstock. Either way, 25,000 vehicles at an average selling price of $58,000 is 1.5 Billion dollars tied up. Good thing they have about 7 Billion dollars of cash on hand!!

Tough call. It’s going to track oil prices. I would be a buyer, but only if I believed in oil going back up. Soon. These companies cannot survive on $20 oil. How long does the oil collapse last is anyone’s guess.

I’ve got some dry powder but I just can’t get myself to dump any more in.

Oh yeah, I am not afraid of them going out of business. But there are so many people out of work right now I am afraid that demand might drop of for a little while.

The closest place to us was charging $4.15 or so a week ago for 91. Now it is down to $3.75 and falling everyday. I have 3/4 of a tank left so I am waiting to fill up. 🤷‍♂️

I tried to pull a fast one on a pharmaceutical company and got greedy and instead of getting out with a small profit I lost a few thousand right before the bell in a few hours. Nice should of just stuck to my own advice and loaded up Abbvie like I had planned but now it is up to around my cost basis already again so I kind of missed the discount for now.

It looks like TSLA is back down under 500 even after their biggest quarter ever so I am still okay with my decision to sell half for a while. It's going to be up and down but I predict it will go lower before going higher and just hope I can time it right and get back in on more shares than I sold. Thinking that might be 6 months out.

This was their best Q1 ever. Overall, it’s their 5th best quarter.

I think it's going to bounce around but go lower (at least that's what I am betting on). It ties my stomach in knots though.

500Guy brought up something to think about: what about us poor bastards who only have 401(k)s right now? I have my funds allocated to a long-term, managed strategy that has me set to retire in 2040, with a small percentage of my funds in a self-managed category. I'm all over the map in that one.
Give me your thoughts - I know I'm supposed to ride out temporary glitches and not really worry this far out, but is there a particular tack I should be taking right now? I can re-allocate twice a year without penalties, I think.

I don't think there is much you can do, if your projected withdraw is 2040 just forget about it for now.

if you are still working that's good and the current contributions will be bought in at a lower rate than 2 months ago.

By 2040 you will probably experience some major move like this 3-4 more times maybe more.

Also that's just my opinion, do research and seek professional advice for yourself.

My rules

Stay Calm

Don't Panic

Don't over react

Do whats best for you

Yup crazy times, yet all the articles I read say it's going to crash or go lower than a few weeks ago.
