Good ride for him.

I do think that he was holding up Canard a bit, the top 4 kept getting tighter because Trey was not able to make the pass.

really not Barcia's fault for that though.. Canard just needs to find a way to pass him...

He did great, that's a lot of pressure and the only way he can learn to stay up there is to get up there in the first place and try to hang. And it's not like the really fast guys all got bad starts or something, he had 3 of the fastest guys in the class right on his tail for about 15 minutes and he held 'em off. Congrats to him.

Outstanding job on JB's part. He's fast and seemed to have an unnaturally wide motorcycle for about 20 minutes.

He did a few Alessi look backs when Canard was pressuring him on the downhills.

Excellent ride. He passed Canard for the lead!

However, he needs to work on having a "short memory" (as they say) because once those guys freight-trained by him, the wheels seemed to come off a bit.

I hope he gets a start again in moto 2 and does even better. I could see him on the podium if he does.

Yes that was a great ride..............That team has good luck with rookies in there first pro nationals. Trey Canard in 07 , Wharton in 08 and now Barcia.

He did great, But isn't that the definition of holding up?

Put that kid together with a pro trainer and give him a few motos to adjust and LOOK OUT.

He's got the speed, when he gets acclimated to the holding the pace in the longer moto's a real threat for sure..great ride for the kid.

Knowing the team he is on you can be sure he has a solid trainer.
His first race is consistent with many new pros. They charge hard and either pump up or start to think a little too much when out front. He obviously has the speed, just relax and let it happen.

I was worried he'd ride TOO fast and crash himself out. He knew when it was over and took it home safe.

If he had given up the fight earlier, he could have probably saved a few spots.

He wanted to lead and he threw down. Great ride for the kid.

Great debut so far for Barcia! Ziggy brought him to race the Marshfield fair supercross a few years back. He was very polite and well mannered to us ,not to mention he put on a great show for the spectators. Good job justin!

**If anyone wants to sponsor our supercross this year let me know. We are going into our 10th year at the annual marshfield fair in MA. Our usual crowd draws 5000+ on wednesday night and every year since its introduction we have held high attendance in spectators and rider turnout. On the night before the race transworld mx puts on a minibike sx which serves as the opening round of there "masters of mini" championship series. This is a great oppurtunity to get maximum exposure. If interested email me at mwb985@aol.com or the head promoter at dana@keithjohnsonmx.com.
