Rewind/fast forward NBC gold pass

Just so I’m not missing something. It’s not possible to rewind the show once it’s started right? I mean you have to wait until it’s finished if you want to start from beginning?

What are you using to watch it? The NBC app on my Apple TV doesn’t allow you to rewind.

I have the app on my Sony tv but I’m watching direct Right now. I know for sure I’ve rewound on the app when watching qualifying though

You have to pause, then fast forward or rewind. You can’t do it while it’s playing. At least that’s how it works on my Apple TV

I have heard you can do it in a web browser but not the app.

I tried to fast forward at the end of race day live for my fantasy picks. Didn’t workWink

Seriously though I have found at times I have to hit pause and the rewind in the live broadcast.

This is unfortunately correct. The app designer needs to be less of an intern.

Alright guys thanks. Yeah when watching live in the app. Fixed it by moving to Mac and airplay to TV. The app sucks balls.

This is correct.

Love Gold no question. My only two wishes is that they fix this little rewind quirk and let me see the screen when fast forwarding. Doing rewatches of the race throughout the week and having to guess when the next race starts is not ideal. Just let me see the screen when fast forwarding. Or even just go through and cut out the “commercial break in progress” parts of the broadcast on Gold after a day or two. As I said minor things and overall I love it. Well worth the money. I didn’t even know it was delayed on TV till they did the break in the broadcast to welcome everyone midway through the first 250 heat.

If everyone submits feedback to NBC at support@nbcsports.com to ask for playback functionality on mobile devices, it might happen. They say they may not respond on the feedback link but I had a separate issue for NBC sports gold using my Android device and they responded within 2 days.

I can rewind on my laptop with web browser.

Thanks for everyone sharing their experience on this. I had heard people say it last year and the year before. It can get confusing.

On repays you can pause then move forward or back, I don’t think you can do it while live??

NBC Gold on FireTV is a poor user experience. I actually watch moto1s on a DirecTV DVR because I can freeze, slomo, 8-sec rewind, which I do almost every moto. I miss the racing during commercials. Moto2 I have to use my Gold Pass. I cannot start late and go back to the beginning - I have to wait for the race to finish then wait 30 minutes for them to post the pile in Replays. Freeze frame is okay. No 8-sec rewind. No slomo. But Gold will never get preempted for LaCross.

use your iPhone as a remote, but go into setting and turn on "Directional Buttons" for the remote. this changes it from swipe to navigate, to buttons. you can just press left or right for skipping forward or back. I haven't tried on live, but it works on replays

Annoying but yes when watching live you can’t pause or rewind etc except from a computer browser. Annoying if I am busy and wanna watch at 1:30 because I have to wait until 3 when it becomes a replay not a live event. Wish I could just start from beginning and catch up. Oh well, overall still worth the money for sure. But hope they fix this
