That's it folks, stick a fork it in: the National Motocross championship was decided the moment the Thunder from Down Under decided to toss in his entry form. Reed wins the title in a walk, if the sign-ups stay the way they are now...

Don't get me wrong, RV and company will certainly make it fun to watch, but Speedy Reedy is on a mission to get the title so long denied.

I'm with you...

All those guys that are a second a lap slower in SX aren't going to gain a second a lap just because the track is longer and has less jumps...niether is Reed going to lose a second a lap for the same reasons.

If you're fast, your fast...and Reed is fast. Faster than all the other guys (excluding James Stewart).

With James out, this is Reed's title...

There is no way that is going to happen...you're mixing up SX with MX. Alessi will be on fire, RV will too and don't sleep on JG33 but what you are missing here is the fact that JS7 will race the nationals just to make certain 'ol chad doesn't get that title. . . watch.

Bubba's going to miss the first 5 or so races, then comeback and win all the rest,
Reed will retire, never to be seen again.

Was Alessi still on the track when Reed made his appearance last season? How'd that play out? I forgot.

I wouldn't discount RV so easily. He may start a bit slow the first couple races...but he usually winds up pretty quick and dominates.

I wouldn't be supprised to see Bubba race simply to piss off Chad.

Remember Reed's speed at the MXDN?

Non-exisitent.

Glade to see he is racing the nationals and not testing for Alessi.

I wouldn't give Reed the title just yet. Ryan cut his teeth, he will hold it on longer and wick it sooner. NOW is the time Ryan will come into his own.

If you are giving anything away, I would give the Glen Helen win to Ryan.

Reed and RV have been on the same gate outdoors twice in the last two years (ever); MXdN 2007 at Budds Creek and MXdN 2008 at Donnington Park. Reed has never beaten RV outdoors. Not saying he can't, just saying he hasn't, so let's not give him the #1 plate just yet.

2008:
1 1 Stewart, James USA
2 4 Pourcel, Sebastien FRA
3 10 Philippaerts, David ITA
4 16 Barragan, Jonathan ESP
5 22 Bill, Julien SUI FMS Honda
6 13 Mackenzie, Billy GBR ACU
7 113 Coppins, Joshua NZL MNZ
8 7 de Dycker, Ken BEL FMB
9 14 Searle, Tommy GBR ACU
10 2 Villopoto, Ryan USA
11 5 Boissiere, Anthony FRA
12 58 Reed, Chad AUS

2007:
1 2 Villopoto, Ryan USA
2 31 Reed, Chad AUS

Both RV and MA are better at MX than SX. My guess... 800 at GH

I think there will be some actual racing for the title. They also have to make it through 24 motos.

If this were the Supercross series I would have to agree. Chad doesn't have everyone covered in the outdoors and IMHO RV does.

Weed will lose heart about round 5 after Alessi and the rest of the field consistently beat him and he runs top 5 or so.
I only mention Alessi because he is weed's teammate
RV will smoke em all for the championship.
I predict (hope) Bubba shows up at GH just for fun wins by 20+ seconds
RV
Alessi (his best performance of the year)
Anyone else
Weed.

Wouldn't it be funny if Bubba raced the 250 and 450 class 1 moto each?
Wins moto 1 of 250's on a 125
Wins 450 moto 1 going away,
Then packs up has a beer and says:
"Yeah that was fun. Smoked em all, now heading to Cancun to look for Pig virus"
Weed=no heart
See you there! Will be awesome!

That 2007 one was by over a minute also.

Pdub is a smart man, you clowns would do well to listen to him.

An off season Reed (both MX of Nations where RV beat him, and X-Games a few years back where he got smoked too) just don't seem to care enough to even try to hard. Hey, your messing up his vacation time with these one-off races.....

Alessi will get out front early most times, and Chad and RV will run him down, week after week.

Alessi is fast outdoors, but he's no RV or Reed. Don't fool yourself.

It's going to come down to Reed and RV, and who wants it more. Just hope Chad really wants it, because you know RV does....

I'd have to agree.

I'm not sure if Reed will take the first one because of his lack of testing but to put him in 5th is a bit of a stretch from that weed smoking wacker.
