I'd try dying the panel in hot water, being that its white it should dye easily with enough black dye if done correctly.

I missed out on them the first time they were for sale so I jumped on them this time lol. They are massive and so bad ass. The only thing is I don't think it the carbon lug protector is going to fit. I'm going to check with lightspeed and see if they have any special wide ones on the shelves.

May have to go into rehab because I have an addiction. Picked up a few pieces of titanium (cough 50 pieces) and decided that the rest of the bolts looked bad so you can guess the next logical step...between docwob and motostuff I have about 72 pieces of titanium throughout the bike. Must say going through motostuff and ordering individually is significantly cheaper and I had a 20% coupon so I threw in a pro lite rear brake line. Not as nice as the racetech single piece drilled bolt and washer but your talking about a $10 difference per bolt at some points.
Not pictured: fork lug, rear disc, clutch cover. Excuse any traces of dirt, I do ride this bike and it's getting close to time for a complete tear down.

Forgot to mention between now and last post I also changed out the plastics bolts with drilled aluminum ones. No need for Ti there!

Oops almost forgot 2.
Also if anyone has a vortex ignition that is on my wish list.
And I saw some factory yamaha hubs for sale so if anyone just so happens to have those let me know.

Thanks, picked them up from cr2guy. Not 100% sure if they are a-kit or not, have to see what's inside when they are sent off. If not it's cool I got them for a very fair price.
They are ready to be sent I just need to save up and arrange service with enzo.

Stumbling across this post just makes me even more stoked to graduate with my ME degree in May. Congrats on your hard work and dedication to obtain your degree! Happy to see you putting it to good use supporting the mx community with this bitchin' build!

Another big find I thought I'd never have. Found a 450f talon hub on eBay for good price. So now I just need to find a front one for the yz axle size.
Mounted up a motostuff rear disc and Ti bolts I've been saving in my stash just to see how she looks. Was planning on doing shined stock hubs but this just took it up a notch.
Also have Turbojez carbon pipe mounts, and a ride eng billet front caliper.
Sorry I've been kinda slow on bike work, I bought a house.

Managed to put a list together. All in currently sitting at over $11,000😮 Including $2800 for bike.
And that is with the discounted prices and doesn't include stuff I have planned or tools and general maintence items. (If every part was bought new at retail cost it would have been over $20,000)
Just bought a Lectron carb about 15 minutes ago for only $250, going to test back and forth when it comes. Stock carb runs good now but with the planned mods I figured it would be better to go this route. If you would like to see some of the parts listed below just ask, I have pictures of nearly everything even if I haven't shown it in past posts. If you have some of the parts I'm looking for let me know.

Also me and my friend are thinking of getting into the Youtube game. we build our bikes together and ride together. Projects including this bike, his 2007 cr125, and restored MR250 Elsinore, his brothers 2008 YZ250f, a few videos around the shop, and maybe even a cool pit bike build with a crf100 motor in an 85 frame. Our motto "look pro go slow"

Awesome stuff buddy! Keep up the good work 😁
Since you have both available can you weigh the stock hub & the talon hub & let us know how much more the talon hub weighs? Thanks!

Dang I should have done that. I already sold the stock 450 hub. I can weigh the talon hub and then maybe someone else can give a comparison. I contacted dubya and they said they could order the front hub in champagne so I may be able to get wheels put together.

As requested. As the list says not all put together. Many of the of the nice parts are sitting in a tote in my closet and suspension is in a case under my spare bed lol. Black Friday is just around the corner!

I might have missed it but on the Xtrig clamps, were they for the two strokes or are they for the four strokes? Any mods you had to do to them if do?

Page 3 and 4. No changes other than changing out the races, they are 2 stroke clamps.

A question about the Xtrig clamps with the PHDS bar mounts: did you notice much of a reduction in vibration through the bars after installing them?

Yeah I'd say so, I've ridden for an hour and a half cruising laps and going between tracks and didn't have tingling hands.
Also you may read about bars rotating in a crash. I don't fall often so I can't say, but the one digger I have had didn't move a thing.

As I thought, OEM hubs significantly lighter, 300grams lighter about .66lbs 😁
2.6 lbs /1174g & that is with bearings, seals, and internal bearing spacer.

OHHHH YEAHHH, Black Friday time!!!!
Ti and aluminum from Motostuff. Pull your bolts out and measure them buy them by size way cheaper than in kits.
Also got a few pieces closer to building some wheels.

Chain guide and rear disc nuts
Upper rad louvr
Petcock
Rear fender
Tank mounting bracket
Seat bracket
Silencer
Reeds

Pretty much have the whole bike covered other than engine case bolts, motor mount bolts, shock pins, and swingarm pivot

love this, swtich out the swingarm for a 2009+ 4 stroke if you find one

you will need

swingarm
rear brake carrier
linkage
rear hub

all bolts right on. Ihave a 2009 yz250f rear end on my yz250. saves well over 1 lb. and if you machine the casting off the linkage, hub etc saves even more weight.
