The seat tear/split I mentioned to Pipe. Ground in dirt....lazy me. That was stock with all the purple/yellow blotches in '92....

Last shot or right side of motor/pipe...only has a small ding....would seem to be a real good fixer upper. Where clutch cover is by rear brake; dude JB welded...dude was no mechanic and didn't wanna put dough into it..

Runs quite fine; shifts solid; only on paved road though....

Still want a '90 YZ 250 though.....

Looks pretty solid. I would've picked it up too. I'd say you got a more rideable bike for the money than I did.

My '90 CR125 was also held together with JB Weld when I got it.

I had a '93 RM125. only made power at about 10,000,000,000 rpm.

Reminds me of my '90. I thought the '89 and '90s looked better, but man did I want a '91 model when they came out. By '92 I had jumped ship to Hondas and 250's.

Sweet bike man.

Hahaha! JB weld for the young and anxious....or maybe just not wanting to spend over $100 on that cover....dude said he had a '04 YZ125 and wife's ride was the RM.... prob ride it as fast as her....

You're bike looks hecka good; I don't count on anything until the RM gets a good ride from my buddy and if nothing disinegrates, I'll then be a happy camper.

Thanks trick. See how it holds up first after my friend does some laps; hold my breath and hope my defib doesn't go off in disappointment.....

Know I've sold vintage bikes in early '90s for a song and dance not knowing how much the prices would jump.....hope this is a little payback..

I agree, i liked the '89-'90 yellow & blue color. With some yellow plastic, blue seat cover, and paint the frame blue it could look like this:

Denny Stephenson - 1990 East SX champ.

Great stuff. Ironically, I too just recently picked up a 1992 RM125 to restore. I thought the 1989-1992 body style were the best looking RM's ever made. They just looked so trick and I always wanted one. I prefer the blue/yellow look of the 89/90 to the crazy art of the later models. This bike will be torn down and completely restored at some point this year or next.

Good luck Pit Racer. Looks like a '93-5 seat on it. Looks like a good project bike.

Let me know how easy or hard parts are to come by and will likewise if I get the energy to start working on it. Had it few mos and still haven't took to car wash to give a really good cleaning. Should do that ASAP.

I liked my '91/'92 new; felt almost too light and flicky. Snappy power too. 250s I mean.

I owned a 1993 and it was a fun bike. Motor was tame but the body style looked bitchin.
I am looking for an inexpensive one to restore.

Owned a '93 RM 250; liked bike, but was like Jekyll and Hyde on different surfaces.....rode my last expert race on it at 34....came in 3rd.....outta 6, maybe 7....Prob 2....hehehe.. Wow. Huge turnout.

Let Davis race it for a while when he was still Int after his primary sponsor left...knew he had lots of talent to sit on sidelines doing nothing; got some good Suz contin......Spud Walters made good dough on his '93s....lol.

I owned a '94 RM125 that thought was good stock; check, I did race once more this time; Vet Pro.....dead last start; caught pack, crashed and loaded up..Happy Trails....Whistling

Thanks Lee for the pics. Like the '92 stock looks; liked Chicken's '93 radiator shroud graphics on his...sweet.

Up north trick, I see 'em from time to time....shouldn't be too hard to find in your neck of the woods....I'd rather have the '93-'95 myself, but couldn't pass up this one for project deal....even though wish could find stock graphics and seat cover..

'94s(maybe '95s) went to dual chamber forks....seem it was '95s.
