Need help with my yz125!

So last weekend at the track I got sent into a wicked endo on my yz125 off of a smaller jump and ended up breaking my arm. I have both a 250f and a 125. The 250f has never sent me into a sketchy endo but little ones have happened before. The 125 often sent me into bad endos even with proper technique. The suspension was fixed for someone who was lighter than me. I'm a novice rider but not a beginner. Why is my 125 doing this? I don’t know if it’s just the suspension being wrong or what. The bike is tight all the way around. No shot bearings or anything. I’m debating if I should just get a Ktm or husky and not have to worry about this problem. What’s your thoughts?

It’s definitely soft it bottoms on landings and I can feel it bottom on the faces of big jumps.

So put stiffer springs on it front and back and you will be fine.

Go to the stock springs, I believe the 06 and 07 had 41kg springs stock than after that they came with 42kg stock which should be perfect for your weight

I’m not sure what’s in the front but I know the rear is a 4.6 kg. The stock is 4.7 kg I believe. Will I feel much of a difference?

If you’re getting the proper sag in the back the spring is fine, 100mm and around 25 to 30mm free sag

If you’re bottoming on the face of the jump it’s to soft. Also what’s your technique? If you’re chopping the throttle like on the F you’re doing it wrong.

Smooth on the throttle the whole time. Having my body in the attack position not too far forward or backward.

Haven’t checked the free sag. I’ll have to check when my arm heals up.

After you set up your suspension properly, have a buddy shoot some cell phone video to check your technique...on both bikes.

You might think you're doing everything fine but once you watch the video, you should be able to identify any problems.

Motor pulling hard or is power topped out or you backing off when you hit the jump?

I am usually on the power hard and it’s pulling. I’ve been close to the power topped out before but I always shift and try to stay in the most pulling gear. The jump I wrecked on was a smaller jump with a really steep face. I can’t really remember how I hit the jump but I was only on the gas a little because I was carrying so much momentum then as soon as I hit the jump it threw the bike pretty much upside down.

What is your shock rebound setting? Sounds like a combo of springs too soft and rebound too fast
