They look pretty good.

In fact all their gear looks pretty good even if you don’t wear a neck brace.

Had the Leatt rep bring the boots into our shop yesterday and they look great protection wise, and are very comfortable. Just wanting to know how they hold up in comparison to the Gaerne SG-12 which ive found is basically indestructible.

Really hard to beat the SG12 boots. Durable / comfortable and great protection. I have no idea about the Leatt boots, but their gear has come a long way.

Pretty close to a tech 7.
Buckles look the same as the tech 7. The bottom buckle is reversed on the a star.
The Leatt looks to be a little more aggressive with the inboard side of the boot for bike grip.

I think I'm gonna get a pair.... RMATV has free returns so nothing to lose by checking them out. I'm happy with all of my Leatt stuff.

I got my pair in. They are slim, narrow feeling boots with what looks like really nice protection. I'm coming off Fox Comp 8 in size 9 which I've worn for just over a year. At first, I didn't want to spend $400 and was gonna return the Leatts but while comparing them with the Fox I discovered that I'm about to eat thru the sole on the Fox, so... new boots.

Couple of things:

1) The Leatts are shorter than the Fox Comp 8. I'm short, too- 5' 5"- and the Comp's come almost over my calf. Plus, the actual hard part of the boot goes all the way to the top. The Leatts have a softer top and stop about 3" shy of my knee. I kind of like that.

2) The Comp 8's weigh 4 lbs 14 oz on my postal scale. The Leatts are 4 lbs 4 oz. That's 20 oz of weight for the pair.

3) The soles feel MUCH harder than the Fox.

4) I love the buckles. I ride off-road a lot and I've never liked the flipped buckle on A-stars.

5) the 1 way velcro is cool. You push the flap down, push it up, and it stays. It doesn't grab while you're trying to place it.

6) My Leatt Z-frame braces fit just fine.

7) the protection feels better than a Tech 7. More plastic and an actual hinge.

I'm keeping them.

Hill has been in Leatt boots for awhile... he was in the gs in the beginning made the switch, then vital posted an old photo of him when still wearing the g’s from my knowledge. Hill was in the Leatts at Geneva and in bercy it you’re a core fan and follow that stuff

Have put about 6 hours on mine now. Definitely prefer them over the Gaerne SG12. Leatt is slimmer and feels like you can get your legs in tighter against the bike, especially around the ankle. More protection in the ankle aswell I feel. Have done some big flat lands, landing in my toes without any issues, or stress to the ankle. So far there’s no signs of wear at all, but it’s early days. I think it’s near impossible to outlast a pair of SG12, I was getting nearly two years out of mine, before replacing

Picked up a pair and had my first ride in the 5,5 flex lock after years in fox and Astars I’ve found a new love.... never had a boot I didn’t need to wear in they are so comfortable.

Did my heel in a few weeks back after ejecting the stubbing it a few times trail riding, was still very sore and planted it solid last weekend in the new Leatt and it soaked it up beautifully.

The feel the comfort the design and finish of these are awesome.

That’s just my 2 cents
