I’m a moto dad.... the modern KTM 85 is 10 times the bike over a yam/kawi. both in stock vs stock and the reliability department. And you’re comparing cast parts to billet parts, silly goose. Just because you flip burgers, does not make you a ground beef expert, calm down son and tend the grill

Tell that to the 3 guys I know that have the New KTM 85 and the crank issue’s they all have had. I understand all brands have their problems but really parts twice as much is not called for. I also have 15 years of experience as a KTM tech in a dealership so my burger flipping is very good. KTM has done good things in the industry the last 10 years but believe me when I say that in the last 5 years the KTM has not been nice to dealerships that helped build them and they are lining there pockets with parts prices as shown. The gasket alone for this bike is $300.00.
