Those in NorCal, or really anywhere, please be aware of a land grab deal that's screwing a local riding area out of an expansion that everyone worked really hard to pay for and acquire.
Here's a link you can send a quick message to the governor to ask for a veto on AB 1086:

The backstory is a real long mess, but the current issue is very simple. John Garamendi is using his position in congress to take land from a state motorcycling area to sell to his sister at 1999 real estate prices and they're going to use the land to raise cattle. It's 3,100 acres and at 2 acres per cow and $1000 per head, they stand to make $1.5 million a year, and that's excluding the instant equity from owning 3,100 acres in the bay area.
Garamendi's family is also leasing 7,500 acres from the state on the neighboring property and we need to get that property back into the hands of the state as well.
If anyone happens to be in/near Davis at 3pm on October 14th, John Garamendi is holding a town hall at the Vet's Memorial Center because he'd like to address some of the current issues in Washington. It'd be great if someone were there to call him out on his shady deals taking land from the people to enrich his family.

Ive been going there since 1986 my dad used to ride there BEFORE it was a park. It's a shame that stupid green sticker rule keeps a lot of riders with newer bikes from going there to ride.
Agreed... The red/ green sticker thing is stupid...Especially when you can load up in the middle of the summer and go rip Forest hill.
What is the deal with mammoth bar, did they rebuild it? Or are they still just donating the site, road into the canyon, and the parking lot to the (for profit) river rafting companies? Not to mention the ohv staff to maintain it for the river rafting companies.
I feel sorry for parents taking their kid on his or her first trail ride with utv's bombing in on them head on. What a stupid idea.
