Not that surprised by Cooper, remember the qualy race at WW in 2017. Was one of his first races and he got second in fairly similar conditions.

Prado showing that by 2021 he will be ready to fight for the title. The other guys might already be on borrowed time.

Anderson stepped his game up in the race and Zach-O better use his fitness tomorrow.

I went out the back of the grandstand between the siting lap and the start of the MXGP qualifier and saw him standing there. Real shame. Lots of Lithuanian fans here. The other two guys rode quite well, but they were always up against it without AJ

The other thing is the forecast. From now on it will be rain alle day long for tomorrow...
The track today was perfekt... I think the track designer make a good job.

Can't wait for tomorrow 👍
Yeah heavy rain has already started. The track and probably the results will look much different tomorrow than they did today. But they have done an excellent job with the track it’s held up very well indeed

MX2 class I must say I was shocked about Coopers’ start from the partytent going 1st in the corner Grinning Seriously, he rode great. His corner speed is insane and that Star bike is FAST. Horgmo rode well, but had some bad luck. Same goes for Sterry

MX Open I expected a lot more from Hoff. But when he got in 3rd he just cruised around until he had a small crash. I really wished Strijbos could have won the race, especially after a drama year with a drama team. He looked good on the Wilvo bike. Jonass rode great! I was impressed again by Boegh Damm, whom had a great battle with Osborne (he rode bad to be honest) and had the same laptimes as the American on a 250f! Osborne was a little too wild in my eyes, which really is weird because he was a decent sand rider in his GP days. I would have expected more from him and less from Anderson to be honest.

For tomorrow it seems like it will be between Belgium and the Dutchies. Don’t count down France however, they had some bad luck.. Tixier had someone crashing in front of him at the start corner and went down hard, still pushed back passing Osborne in the later stages.

The weather will be key. I’m 3km from the circuit and it didn’t stop raining since the final moto.. looks like we will get 23mm of rain tomorrow. Fox Hill all over againUnsure

If Coldenhoff is leading MXGP/Open moto tomorrow watch Herlings sit behind him as wingman again.

You heard it here first.

The US did well today, JC of course the stand out but a good showing all round I’d say. This shit is very different for them, and lots of luck comes into a one race format.

They’re a serious threat on the consistency front. As always, they are still and always likely will be the dominant force in world motocross, and anyone who thinks otherwise is just being a contrarian. At any one time they may not have (or at least send) the absolute best in each class on earth, but they have the deepest pool of talent in the world by a country mile, and I don’t see that ever changing.

I spent some time riding in Cali earlier this year and I can see why, a nation where sports are put at top priority and it shows, coupled with the best weather and facilities you can get. Regardless of results, anyone on here who says that the US aren’t still in the top tier of world MX are brain dead.

Who would've thought Loots wouldn't be there to witness his home boy on home soil at the biggest MX race all year!
Mum grounded him and sold his bicycle?

I only hope she takes his "Computer Privilege" away ASAP.

I swear he is the nephew of "The Source"...

I'm happy with team USA's results today. That 31st gate pick worried me a little, but Anderson was slicing through field and killing it. He did back it off near the end of the race. That was obvious. My guess is that he got arm pump from going all out to get past so many riders, AND..... He hasn't raced all out since the ama season ended. That makes a difference no matter how much practicing they've done. Cooper just straight up killed it. He's our ace in the hole. Impressive as F. He backed that confident talk up beautifully. Zach did good for having such a shit gate pick and start, but he was off some no doubt. Zach is a warrior from hell. He will bring it tomorrow and you can count on it. We look good. Not as good as the Dutch team, but good enough to podium and good enough to win if the Dutch mess up.
Australia surprised the hell out of me. Holy shit. Impressive. Belgium is for real. They are way stronger than I thought they'd be. It's gonna be a dog fight from hell tomorrow between several teams. Herlings had me confused for a while by not moving up very fast, but he turned it on and by the end of the race there was no doubt. He's just on another level in sand. It's incredible what that dude can do in that stuff.

Not gonna happen! If so Herlings can't keep him, because he do not want to be 2nd.

I just want all 3 Team USA riders to ride the way Cooper did today. To me he looked just like he did during the Nationals. He was aggressive but still smooth and looked like he was riding the same way he did all year, which is really all I want to see all the USA guys do. Ride like El Hombre and Wacko Zacko...win, lose, or draw and let the chips fall where they may.

All good for now.The only think that worries me is how out of breath Cooper was and how Sewer and Jonass looked after there races .Hopefully Cooper didn't push it too hard, because its only Saturday.

Zach was one of the best closers outdoors this past summer. If he gets his issues sorted out before tomorrow morning, he’ll be fine. He’s a smart kid with enough experience to know what he needs to do for the team.
He's a stud but handling a a bike swapping around in the sand with those narrow bars can't be easy. A little more leverage might help. I wish him the best

Better be thankful the race is being held at this ‘crappy’ sand track.
I miss the good old days as much as anyone, but If it was at a traditional track, like for example Foxhills which is about an hour north of here, the race would’ve been cancelled by now and the trucks would currently be being towed out of the fields by tractor.
Yes, a sand track like Valkenswaard would hold up ok, and the paddock would be fairly manoeuvrable, but having been there on a few miserable weekends it’s safe to say that a roofed grandstand would’ve been a real treat.

Different country! But agreed, although the weather looks shocking for tomorrow I wouldn’t be too dissapointed been a spectator, least they can keep dry. Hope it doesn’t put too many people off!

Fair play to the US guys. Nothing but respect here from GB. Cooper rode well, like really well. It’ll be interesting to see tomorrow how things pan out in the races, been a bit longer, with the tracks de grading even more, but it was good to see him up there none the less. I reckon a top podium is achievable. All the 3 of the guys have the ability, the weakest link I thought would be anderson but he rode well. All you need is a bit of luck and anything can happen.

Rooting for you guys whatever happens, all 3 should hold their heads high for having the balls to show up unlike some. Be proud

Haha, I know it’s the wrong country, but that was the first non sand track that came into my head when I thought of shithouse muddy races.
The two wettest races I can remember going to overseas were a GP at St Jean d’angely in the early 90s and an unseasonably crap August day at Namur in the early 80s where it rained so much the water was running in rivers down the roads so deep it was over our feet Laughing

I have been very impressed with Team USA today!!! The top Euros have moved on and are a match for America and with certain individuals are ahead regardless of track type, whats been good to see today is an American team made up of second or third pick riders come over to Europe, put some effort in and run up near the big boys of MXGP. I do not care where they finish tomorrow, I saw all i needed to see today, I'm glad A.C and E.T hid behind the decision that Kawasaki would not come to Europe (If they really wanted to go for it, it would have happened) Adam and Eli are no Carmichael or Villopoto, I'm glad that Anderson, Cooper and Zach stepped up, they have had a great time and show what the MXON is all about. Carmichael vs Everts, Ryan vs Antonio, the best of the best putting it on the line , the GOAT not backing down from the arguments of who is the best. Shame on you AC and ET, Know this: Your fellow country men have not missed you one bit!!!!!!
I hope every nation has a good race tomorrow.

Do either of the MXGP-TV packages offer relays from qualifying? I was at work and have only seen the highlights so far.

Good to see Zacho not settling (though not surprising).. Will be interesting to see what kind of start he gets tomorrow with a better gate

If the Aussies can get those starts again and stay upright and keep the same pace as the leaders they should do well, the selectors picked the right guys this year, especially Webster and Duffy

No its not my call, I'm a carpenter, I don't search out competition I pay the bills, but, If called out I will step up, money does not come into it, I want to know who is the best, if the supposedly best cant be bothered to show up then give me them that can be bothered, support them and applaud them. Some footage from today from a Swedish perspective. You can see Cooper didn't have that good of a jump from the gate but that Yamaha is FAST
