There’s a nicely priced fc 450 factory edition 19 for the same price as a standard sxf. I know this probably doesn’t warrant a new thread but it’s a ton of money for me and I want to be sure! The reviews seem decent on them apart from a few things. Do you think it’ll be any better or worse than the ktm? Handling, power and suspension all the same? Any experiences appreciated!

Thanks!

My Son got one a couple of months ago,he loves everything about it,he came of a 2019 ktm 350 which had spring conversion on the forks and revalved front and rear,so far he prefers the stock husky suspension

Good to hear! I do like my sxf now, so don’t want to be disappointment with something different, but it doesn’t sound like I will be! How does he find the power on it and the maps? I heard the huskys are more mellow?

Have a 19 FC - it is indeed a little bit more mellow down low than the KTM but the suspension and handling is better. Mapping is very good, you will feel the difference. Map 1 is good for low traction tracks, map 2 is very strong and good on deep surface. You can always remap and get even more ummph! If you like a KTM you will love the Husky. I had 450 KTMs from 2016 onwards but changed to Husky this year as I got an offer I could not refuse. Have ordered the MY 2020 right now.

Great to hear! I’ve just put a deposit down, off to pick it up later, can’t wait! One thing I found strange was the maps on the sxf, couldn’t even tell the difference.

Only bad thing I’ve read so far is the clutch seal is prone to failing, guess it’s not major though.

the clutch seal is indeed crap on the Magura. You can replace that lousy quadring with the o-ring from the Brembo slave - they are the same diameter, or use the complete Brembo piston in your Magura housing as I did - it fits the Magura housing without any problem The Magura pump is troublefree so just update the slave and you are set for many hours of fun on this bike.
Check that you have the black roll on the throttle - my Husqvarna came with the grey. The grey is more like Enduro - not as aggressive as you would want on a proper MX track.

He runs map 2,tried them both once the bike had a few hours on it and preferred map 2,I would imagine having the fmf silencer would give her a bit more grunt.

Update. I brought her home yesterday, it’s beautiful in the flesh, can’t wait to race it at the weekend. Thanks for all the advice!

I thought the factory edition comes with a holeshot device? Congrats though! I love my 2019 fc450!

My 16 came with it but you need to install it. I guess depends on if the dealer does it.
