So I have the last version of the 350 to come with 4CS spring forks. While I have cranked on the clickers enough to make them serviceable I would like an upgrade. I see lots of people pulling AERs off brand new bikes and selling them for cheap. Would the latest model AERs off a 19/20 fit the 16 in terms of axle and brakes?

Also is there enough difference in shock performance to bother with swapping that with the latest version?

When I picked up my AERs from Racetech I mentioned that they did the 4CS forks on my friends KTM. The tech said right away, "these are way better" for whatever that is worth. The AERs have a different learning curve but not really anything too tricky.

It will all bolt right up. Anything is better than the 4CS crap. I replaced mine with cone valves and Trax Shock on my 16 250 and then just swapped them to my new 350 I just got.

You can do the conversion on the 4CS forks and get them working pretty good, but just doing a revalve is a waste of money. Once you get the forks working ok the shock is decent.

AER is waaaaay better than the 4CS, but you could also do a Dal Soggio conversion in the 4CS and get an even better fork. I think you can do the MX Tech Lucky conversion too and save a little money, just not sure if they offer it for the 4CS. The shock has very little changes 16-20, you're fine there. You can change the knuckle for better performance, but you'll need a revalve and spring change to match.

One of our local riders upgraded his 4CS to the aforementioned Lucky conversion and loves it. He's been riding/racing for many years, has a small fleet of bikes, and rotates new ones in/out on a regular basis (I trust his opinion).
