On those occasions when procrastination or life's responsibilities have caused me to put off getting my bike ready for its next ride until the night before ...... it seems like my own personal "Moto-Satan" always gets into my ear and starts asking questions like......

"Why are you spending an hour cleaning your bike when after 1 lap its going to look just like it does right now?"

or

"Do you really need to change the air filter this one time? You always change it out after one ride and you only ride freshly prepped and watered tracks with little to no dust..... is it any different than if you had stayed and rode for another hour or two the last time you went riding anyways"

Does anybody else deal with anything like this and what do you find yourself asking?

Second one. If it’s not dusty or a sand track I’m running it for 2-3 hours of moto.

I deal with this. But only because I rode for only a total of 30-40 mins an outing. After all the bench racing and bullshitting. The bike only gets rode maybe an hour or two every few months lol. if the oil looks goldish and the filter is clean ... just run it 😂

...Counting down 'til the first poster who points out that you should strip your bike down to the frame every race and change the oil twice, while simultaneously disassembling and re-lacing the wheels. Don't forget your caliper rebuilds and cam swap while the cases are split. Did I say every race? I meant between motos.

I can’t thank all my sponsors, Honda, my girlfriend, and my dog. It was a good race. Track was gnarly so I’m glad my competition blew a few engines today. Gotta thank the man below!
