Hey,
My 02 rm125 makes a weird noise when i go full throttle on neutral, from idle, it acts like someone is holding back a burp and if i keep the throttle on, it goes fine after a second, even if i let go of the throttle and blip it again, it reva just fine

Is it my slow circuit that is way too rich? Acts the same even if i turn out the air screw

Maybe i need to change the jetting?

"I mean, listen, we're talking about neutral, not a race, not riding, we talking about neutral. Not a race. Not, not … Not the race that I go out there and die for and ride like it's my last. Not the race, but we're talking about neutral, man. I mean, how silly is that? … And we talking about neutral. I know neutral is supposed to be there. I know I'm supposed to lead by example... I know that... And I'm not.. I'm not shoving it aside, you know, like it don't mean anything. I know it's important, I do. I honestly do... But we're talking about neutral man. What are we talking about? Neutral? We're talking about neutral, man. [laughter from the media crowd] We're talking about neutral. We're talking about riding. We ain't talking about the race. [more laughter] We're talking about neutral, man. When you come to the track, and you see me ride, you see me ride don't you? You've seen me give everything I've got, right? But we're talking about neutral right now. We talking about neu... [Interrupted].
MXA: But it's an issue that your riding coach continues to raise?
Iverson: Man look, I hear you... it's funny to me too, I mean it's strange... it's strange to me too, but we're talking about neutral man, we're not even talking about riding... actually riding, when it matters... We're talking about neutral…"

Can you make a audio clip and post it? I could be wrong but I don’t think most people know what you’re talking about. Being able to hear what it’s doing might get you some answers.

How does it respond under a load (in gear / riding)? Last time I checked, the bikes are ridden, not futzed-about with on the stand. I had an 06 CRF250 that had !@#$ response in neutral but was fine under load.

Maybe try some spoke skins? (that was a joke...)

Can believe no one has thought to check what color power band he’s running. Thats most likely the issue OP.

Well there’s your problem. You have a Kawasaki powerband in a Suzuki. Switch it back to the yellow one.

I reduced the tension on the powerband spring and it sounds way better
Plug is all oiled up if i let the bike idle, but not if i go out and ride, so im guessing jetting is good

True story when I was a service manager at a Honda dealership I had a guy come up to the counter when we were busy and when it was his turn he made sound effects of how his CR125 was sounding going through the gears and then on the breaks and using his hands and arms in full air guitar race mode and after about 30 seconds of this when he was done, and he was serious, asked if I could tell by that what the problem was with his bike. All I could do was stand there stone faced as all the other customers stared at him in shock and or amusement. Huh

Turn out the noise he heard was the chain slapping the chain guide when he was breaking going into a corner.

FWIW, I did a bunch of work on a buds 02 RM125, no matter what I did, checked, or replaced it had a random bog. Jetting was perfect.

I even replaced that mystical tiny gasket under the slide block that you have to get through SkiDoo in the carb. I gave up.

Eventually he replaced the entire carb and that fixed it...Still baffles me to this day. I spent alot of time on the phone with well known engine builders and they were stumped too. Whats funny is months later one called me out of the blue and asked me what I ended up doing because he had another bike do the same thing.

As you should but around here it's frowned upon. To many smartasses and I've been one on several occasions to.
