Whatever you say about that guy, he raced his heart of during this season, going 100% wide open for the title. I think that Chad improved way more than James, 2008 to 2009. As a spectator listening to him and watching him, CR had a much better attitude, was more open, spoke better, was more in tune with the public and the press. Chad rode more aggressive this season, rode more steady and more consistent. Brought that amazing style back. Deserved to win as much as JS7. One guy is always faster than the other one, that's racing.

He'll be back and on the box just as often next year. Stewie better train even harder and work out that suspension.

I would agree. He did a much better job with the press and bumped his skill level a notch of two.

I agree with both of you. And believe it James will be determined. The way both of them just move up at will is very impressive.

I enjoyed watching Chad since he arrived in the US. There were guys faster than him, and he didn't always win.

Chad is dedicated and he is a badass. He has worked hard and NEVER deserved the shit that people attempt to give him.

I think Reeds one weakness is he loses the fire after a couple of bad weeks, and it sometimes takes him a few races to get back to his happy place. If the Chad Reed of the last 3 weeks was there all year Stewart would be trying to figure out where it went wrong. And yes, Reed upped his game more than Stewart in 2009.

I don't think he got better, his shine started wearing off once James and LB got that bike sorted out, no way in hell James should had ever caught up if Chad was all that...

You know, I actually have to agree with that - except the 3 weeks part. Should be "last 2 weeks", 3 weeks ago was Seattle where it all fell apart for him. But it's a coulda woulda shoulda year, and next year those two might have another redhead mixing it up with them.

Chad made me a fan this year. With out him the series would have been a race for second place 45 seconds behind the leader.

I'll admit when Chad first came to America I didn't really like him. Thought he was too arrogant. But over the years (especially this one) I've gained more and more respect for him. Him and James were awesome this year, and I'm glad the season was not a snooze.

Reed has not complained not a single time this season. He took losing the Championship with class, and was graceful in his post race comments.

He also has a beautiful wife, so he's a winner no matter how we argue about it. He's accomplished more then 99.9% on here have in this sport.

I honestly thought 09 was going to be a boring Bubba runaway........Reed stepped up and gave the fight all the way to the end!

Congrats to both riders for a great season of excitement.
