So, this begs the question... if his performance at Southwick isn’t a flash in the pan and he drops top 5,6,7 finishes for the rest of the year, is he JGR contracted next year?
I can't see it unfortunately. His SX results just aren't there for a top flight ride like JGR.

Think of the guys who are going to be fighting for a ride alongside him next year, and unfortunately he'd at the back of that pack in regards to SX skills and results.

But for someone who admittedly doesn't think he rides well in the sand that was a huge effort.

That's a fair assessment but it's not accounting for the gains he'll make this offseason. He's made big improvements each go around. If he's healthy and can be at a factory SX track day in and day out, he's going to surprise people come 2020.

Not to mention, the JGR 450 guys only cracked the top 10 a handful of times this year. It’s not like the current SX result bar is at a very high level right now.

Pretty sure everyone down voting this missed the sarcasm. Although, I could be wrong. Judging by Trace's profile pic, he's a Suzuki rider.

Sorry guys I meant on the track, not off. Rags to riches, shows up and keeps getting it done on pure will and determination. No frills or show pony, just hard work and results, until finally a door opens at a factory semi.

I sure hope he can continue these results, improve his SX game and cement a spot on factory equipment.

I am curious to see if this will be the best finish he has, or if he can do better or even land on the podium as he gets more time on the Suzuki.
id say if you can do that with less than a week on a "shit" bike we can expect a podium or two before its said and done

And if Amart finishes inside the top five, i Will be very happy too, wich is the most he can get, based on his age, i think he reached his top like 2 or 3 years ago

I agree 100%. Freddy podium is a little far fetched I believe. If he can put the bike in the top 10 every week that’s a win, I don’t expect top 5s. I think A Mart this year is a 5-7 guy no matter the bike brand so if he can be there then it’s a win.

Probably the same way JS17 feels about Kawasaki and how Barcia feels about Yamaha.

can you BELIEVE he only took 1 WEEK to get used to the bike???????????????????? Like Oh My GAWD!!! He MUST be superhuman or something after spending his entire career on a Honda except for minis. I just heard Langston talk about how Alex Martin is STILL getting used to his Suzuki.

Point being good ol Freddy just shot a massive hole through the classic rider excuse for doing poorly on a new team, "I need to get used to the bike and it'll take me almost a year to do so'

This excuse is both funny and sad for a rider to use....I m your only job is riding moto and youre in a new bike, how hard is it really to get used to a new brand??? I can get pretty much comfy on any bike in about a day but im no factory level rider .....I still call bs though, The test week in and week out when joining a new team and that means a lot of riding. I didnt hear the 722 make make many "I gotta get used to the bike excuses" but I heard a lot of people making that excuse for him.

Then there's Freddy.......thank you Freddy for proving that lame ass excuse so wrong mmost of the time its said, not every time but id say 85% of the time.

OK Ken beat Freddy by 18 seconds... but it was Ken fudging Roczen - World Champ and established Aldon-troll, not privateer that got chance to ride on constantly underperforming team & bike.

8-13 scores...maybe it is the Suzuki,
maybe it's Maybelline.
