I wasn't sure if his health issues were going to keep him out.

Should be interesting to see how his GP experience helps him deal with all new tracks and the other riders. I think he could take the title if his health doesn't become an issue.

Chad should be thinking chess, not checkers! I'd say to open with the King's Indian Attack and watch for Bubba to use a Sicilian Defense.

Piece of cake.

Health issues ? He won the East SX 250's so I don't think he has any health issues !! You coming to Vegas or no...

S
Thought I heard some discussions of him having health issues when he was off the podium at a couple rounds. Was never sure if that was related to his major injury from a year ago or was something new.

Probably not going to Vegas at this point.

How's the little mermaid doing?

Can you blame him? honestly, he was going to get thrown into some shit storm that doesnt even involve him. Yes, it does invlovle his team and his boss but do you answer for your boss at your work? No you dont, so if people want to ask all these damn questions why dont they set up a press conference for Brooks and KC ONLY. Then ask them all the questions they want. James doesnt need to answer the media's questions as to why another rider did what he did. He already said what matters, I have been beating him all year I dont need the help. James has a championship to win and that is all that matters right now. He can answer all of everyones questions when he has the number one plate come 1030 staurday night.

Do you think Reed will find that amusing when he has no other excuse as to why he got beat AGAIN for the 12th time?
Great logic...? You are missing a major factor. In a press conference much like everyday life. The person being interviewed or spoken too, has the option of not answering. It says much more by not showing up, rather than showing face and simply saying something along the lines of he was not involved and will not answer questions regarding that topic. He can make the media move on at the press conference quite quickly. It may go up in a frenzy after... but that is out of his control. In my opinion... it was a poor decision

Reed really showed what a little bitch he is in that interview.

Don't get me wrong, he is an amazing motorcycle rider but what a jack ass he truly is.

That is true...I am not saying it wasnt a bad choice I just understand why he wouldnt have wanted to go. And just like the person that commented on him not being there do you think they would have a question realative to saturday nights race? Most likely no, they would all have focused on last weekend and the whole LB and KC fiasco. Which to James has nothing to do with him. He will be on the box and that is what his sponsors want in the end, rather then some press conference expoilting a dumb move by a teammate.

the media guys aren't as big of dicks as some of you think.

if you think they ONLY would have focused on asking james about the "incident" then you guys are in the dark.

sure he would have been asked about it, but there are a lot of other agendas than making someone look bad.

By skipping the press conference it comes off as James not being able to deal with the tough questions head on, or avoiding the topic.

He could have said OK I'm not here to talk about last week, I wont answer those questions, lets talk about Vegas. And he could have nipped it right in the bud, but instead it leads to more speculation. We all know James had nothing to do with the KC incident, but he doesn't have to hide from it either.

James will win, the James fans will yell told you so, the usual suspects will post 50 threads, and then no one will care about James' title, and everyone will be talking about why he's not racing MX all over again.

Tom.

We all know by now that stewart can't handle pressure. He knew he would CRASH at the meeting. It's funny watching him struggle the last couple of weeks. He's fast but when the going gets tight he falls apart.Wonder what "new trick" they have planned this week to ensure his chances of winning? He knows deep down he can win races but sealing the deal when it comes to championships is not his strong suit.

Larry Brooks goes off on a young rider who doesn't thank his sponsors on the podium but then he and his rider refuse to do interviews at the press conference!

Makes total sense.

Chad's as fired up as I've ever heard him (Checkers or wreckers were among the phrases he used), and James Stewart opted out of the press conference in order to focus on the championship.

We also get the first-ever meeting of Ryan Dungey and Christophe Pourcel tomorrow in the East/West Shootout.
Yor dad sounds like a smart man. haha

I liked his answers in that interview......No filter.
I'd rather hear honest answers over generic P.C answers any day.

Step up and grow a sack James!
James shows the size of his sack every weekend. Not really sure what series you have been watching. Reed put Stewart in the tuff blocks last weekend. Did Stewart give up? No, he sacked up, passed Reed for a 2nd time and never looked back.

Come on, man. 4th = 18 points, 1st = 25. 25-18=7. James has a 6 point lead. Some of you guys post so much you can't keep up with the sport.

Exactly! James has to get 3rd or better to win.
