Unadilla. Good views almost everywhere. In between the action, plenty of places to sit in the shade if you bring a folding chair.

The AHRMA classes were comical, 40 classes with 5 riders each, well thats what it seemed like .

Be nice to pick up a 4th class, as long as the moto's are spread out.

I seen the guys doing the Sky Shot and the uphill double under the bridge. If you’re doing those jumps you don’t belong in the novice/C class.
I think someone in an Ahrma class was protested as he was in a novice class and obviously didn’t belong there.
There was one moto with 11 different classes in it. Crazy.

damn looking at google maps its about a 30-40 min drive from the track to Utica, they really stay that far away? I've never been to this part of NY so is it that "in the middle of nowhere" that there isn't any better options for them? Anyways, I told the wife about this last night and she's all for it.

On another note, how'd your second motos go on sunday? The wife and I had to leave due to the baby getting fussy (if you didn't guess, I'm the dude you and your wife were talking to under the pavilion where the score sheets were posted lol).

Haha hey buddy it was good to see you. I ended up with a couple top 5s overall in the 45+ and 50+ classes. 2nd motos went pretty good.
Yeah the teams stay in Utica, there's haulers in all the parking lots on Saturday night after the race. I think it's 26 miles to the track, so yeah about a 30 minute ride. Its an easy straight shot down to the track.
I've been to Budds too (The year Henry launched down the Hill), but I would still recommend 'Dilla.

I've stayed in Utica every year. The drive isn't bad and there are actually some newer hotels going up.

I agree, i did the one under the bridge in practice , expecting to have to in the race, but we didnt need to, so i didnt .

I was happy just to ride round at a reasonable pace, in B/A you need to be a bit better prepped, i was a loaner bike , and had ridden MX once since last September. Next year i will be ready properly .

At Farliegh there are 10 60 rider classes, all full, and you get 4 races, one class only allowed, unless you are in the team races as well, or a paid to be there attraction. 3 guys per class get a trophy.

Going to Southwick for the first time this year for my first national ever. Any tips on getting the best viewing experience without being in vip tents?

This is literally not even up for debate. Not even a question... Budds MF Creek. Have you seen it in person? Its increeeedible. In mfn credible.. Unadillas cool because of the history but not because its a particularly great track. Its good, but Budds is world class. Plus do you wanna eat golf ball size roost rocks all day? Dilla roost murders. Unadilla is still an old school layout too, so vintage track with mega roost vs the track of jesus moto christ. Budds is a wet dream through hills. Trust me.

Yea get into the center hill area at the end of the start straight/corner. Its a hill so people in front arent in the way and you get the best view. Watch the first 2/3 motos in there then when you go to get lunch go to the bleachers over there for the view of the other half of the track and youre wayyy closer to the gate after the last moto. Also you can slowly walk your way over there while watching different parts of the track like the back before the finish line.

Bro tip: Show up as late as you can because parking fills in front to back so the later you show up the closer you are to the back of the parking lot and the exit to the road. So if you end up at the bleachers and your car is at the back of the lot youre way ahead of the mob on the way out plus closer to the front of the line of cars leaving. Trust me Ive been going for over 25 years straight.
