He would lay down on stage and kinda squirm like a big worm quite often.

I tell you guys, I was lucky in a way.

I lived in a small town during most of the 80s, right between Baltimore and DC.
A lot of the big acts, before they got big, would do the small bars that littered that area, working and honing their trade.
Most never made it big. A few, yeah, did.
You never knew, who was the next big thing. Caught Stevie Ray Vaughn
in a little seedy bar in Baltimore, before anyone knew who he was. He did 2 sets before, I dunno, 25 people tops.
Heart, they did a few shows at a place called The Hollywood Palace, when they were just a chick band to everyone.
Root boy was a kind of regular at the Brickhouse Bar, 10 minutes from my place.
Leon Russel at Painters Mill, Pink Floyd at Merriweather, Skynard at the Civic Center, it was a great place to be, music wise, in the 70s/ 80s.

Here's a cut from a really good album, from a band out of DC, that never really made the big show.
Pretty boys, that had a good band to boot, yikes, they could pull the women.....
