Finally there. Just need a chain and mount front plate.

Thanks to ebay and various vintage sites it turned out pretty nice with a total 1237.00 with the cost of the bike. Cheapest one I have do e to date.

Hey guys just a suggestion. I had to straighten the radiator on this bike and the cooling fins as well. I painted it and wasn't happy with the look of the fins. So I cut and put a piece of gutter screen on the back side. A little black hi temp silicone in each corner and mid way on both sides and it is secure. Also used it to replace an 81 Honda cr screen.

Usually when I find a bike I'm interested in I'll look on ebay to check if there is a lot of parts available. If I can't find parts that are readily available I move on. This bike had lots off new stuff available for it so I went ahead and bought it. Thank you for the compliment.

Think I'm gonna order a Chinese radiator for it. Have used them before and they seem decent.

I had no problems using the cr brake lines front and rear. The only thing I see on the front is I'll have to use the cr hose clamp on the forks. I think it will bolt right on. The frame issue with the crack. I had a buddy that had same issue on a cr500 and we cut a piece of next size up tube in half. Notched it where needed. Welded it in place . We tapped it in place once it was hot.heat allowed us to mold it to proper shape and welded it all the way around. Painted to match. Anyone that can weld should be able to help you. The swing arm I always spray with aircraft stripper and use scotch brite to get off any paint stickers or heavy grease. Then I use wd40 and scotch brite to finish removing scratches then dish soap and water with scotchbrite. As far as wheels I would remove tires and soak spoke nipples with peneitrating oil. Think an impact with right fitting will break them loose for you. I used new spokes but if yours are not too bad clean the with polish. I may have another set of fork guards if you need them let me now and I'll look. Hope this helps.

I would use stripper on that carb as well. Looks like someone was paint happy. Scotchbrite is your friend with aluminum. Look at the before pics vs these.
