There's been a lot of music threads over the years but I'm just wondering if anyone here listens to bands/music groups/etc. from different countries that sing in a different language than their own?

I'm French but I rarely listen to French bands. Most of what I listen to is in English but I do listen to some German bands from time to time. I have no idea what they're singing about but I still find myself enjoying the music.

Anyone else?

Post up band names or videos. Might discover some new stuff and enjoy it.
I am a pretty big fan of Phoenix.

Here’s a band which sings old folk songs from the 13th century with a new twist. I really like the singers voice. The language is old Norwegian, a mix of the old viking language and our current language. Ignore the video, it’s crap.

Avatar. But I don’t think they do many songs in anytning other than English. they really know how to put on a live show.

Oh boy, going to get lost in here for a while. I'll try and post a video when I'm on my computer next, but surprised Die Toten Hosen haven't been mentioned. German punk, but they do some English songs as well. Killer acoustic cover of guns of brixton.

The last 2 on the first page is German punk from a band called ZSK.

Here's more German punk. Band is Pascow.

This one reminds me of Glycerin by Bush.

Some more German punk from SS-Kaliert.

It's not a Nazi band. The band was originally spelled out as Es Eskaliert. It means "it escalates." They switched it to its current form because they thought it made for a better logo. They've obviously received some backlash over it.
