i've done a couple mountain bike races and they were super fun, really competitive, and i can only imagine how much more fun they would have been on an E-bike. the climb sections in particular were fucking burly.

It's not any different than a standard XC mountain bike race, except you go a little faster and i'm sure you can conquer hills and momentum killing moments a little better. I don't get it.... it's not like the E-bike is blazing fast and it's matching your adrenaline from moto.
That being said, i'm all for anything that gets people out riding and living on 2 wheels. Cheers to playing in the dirt!

I'm all for getting more people into the woods, but man, some of these bikes like the Specialized S-Works Turbo Levo MSRP at $12,000!! I love riding my mountain bike, it would be a bigger field IMO if it were to be open to E-bikes and regular bikes. The E-bikes are awesome though, I've ridden a couple in demo days and they're a riot.

Professional bicycle racers go "a little faster" on e-bikes. Average people go a lot faster on e-bikes than push bikes.

Wonder how they're regulating the cheating with EMTBs. There are apps now where you can basically switch on overdrive like settings with a button.
