I wonder what the heck caused that?
The China news at the end of the month could make the market tank or pop, so it's a tough call right now as to where it's headed.
Ugh.
There is risk in this stock for sure. It’s pretty volatile and there is a definite possibility of bankruptcy. We just described about 80% of small cap oil stocks.
I like DNR for a long play. I’m buying in 1000 increments between $1-$2 a share. I currently own about 20k shares with some dry powder to layer on about 15-20k more shares if I want. I may lose it all but on the flip side, if this stock can just weather the storm a bit, and go back to $5 or $6 a share where it’s been recently, then I can just about pay off my house. So for me this is a gamble that’s worth it. But yeah, still a big gamble no doubt.
How much are property taxes in Texas? I figure a nice house can be had in a nice area of Texas for 600k?
Pit Row
Also DNR is creeping back up. I put a pretty good amount in there. I'm probably not using the best strategy, but I'm just trying to buy low and sell high and then reinvest my profits. Atleast that is my strategy for these oil stocks that tend to be hot and cold day to day.
a high debt ratio.
Off the balance sheet, take a co's total Debt divide it by their total Assets.
I think anything over about .70 is high.
Ford is about .78
Dollar General .60
Face book .07
Of course if your day trading, it doesn't matter.
