Didn’t see washer on the inside. Did yours have one?

Hi guys sorry if I’ve missed it in the forum before but has anyone experienced a loud whining noise after a ride or moto and then disappears when you restart the bike

Add 50 to 100cc’s more engine oil. This should clean it up.

Its the push rod, bring up the parts fiche its part 13116. Its happened on the past kawi 450 since 2014. If you ride hard the end of the pushrod expands and doesn't get oil flow and whines a bit. It doesn't hurt anything. Run more oil like someone said or you can take it to a machine shop and taper the ends. theres a write up on the net. If your worried I can try and get the modification email. Cheers

yup, lots of info pops up if you google "kx450 clutch whining". it's been a common issue for quite awhile apparently. mine hasn't done it yet, but a little more oil is the easy fix... no big deal.

Thanks guys I tell ya what I’ve loved kawasaki all my life and have never had anything different but this 2019 has given me grief from the start after going through 2x pro circuit exhaust systems with the sub frame problem and now this squealing noise it’s nearly enough to make me change.
Once again thanks this forum is great??

I am embarrassed to ask. I just adjusted my sag, 104, and can only touch with one foot on my tip toes. I have a 33 inseam. The height is listed at 37.6", and my 04 KX125 is listed at 37.2", but I can touch with both feet on the balls of my feet. I weigh 175.2 without gear. I know Keefer said the bike was tall/ tip toes. Anyone else notice this. May get PC linkage when available. This makes starts a little difficult.

Picked up my 19 last Friday from Delmarva Powersports, $7247 out the door. I’ve been on Yamaha and KTM (??) with Yamaha suspension for the last 10 years. I was a little nervous about going green but as hard as I tried to find something bad about the 19, I couldn’t. Price was right so I pulled the trigger. I put 4 hours on the bike so far and man, I am so glad I have this bike a chance. It’s smooth, it’s narrow, it handles like it’s on rails! I’ve NEVER had a Yamaha that felt so stable in a rut. It changes directions in the single track effortlessly (we are mostly woods guys), I rode it back to back with an 18 Yamaha 450 and the yz felt like a tank. Electric start is lightning quick, and this clutch? Never did I expect kawi to get the feel this good on the first attempt. It feels much like a cable clutch when it comes to engagement but no more constant adjustment (woods rider problems). I can’t wait to put more time on this thing. The only complain I had was the bazooka silencer, so I added the aluminum fmf 4.1

How did you get it for 7200 out the door? Got mine for 8200 here in north AL and every dealer I spoke with said 8200 was giving it away. Nice find! I've done my heat cycles and first oil change and I can't wait to put it on the track this weekend.

That’s just the price they are offering them at. It’s actually like 6700 or something plus prep yada yada. 72 out the door. They are also selling 19 kx250f for 5780 out the door

Yeah, you're either bullshitting or that dealer took a huge loss. $7200 is about $800 under dealer invoice.

I'm not calling you a liar at all man, but I know for a fact that a dealer isn't going to lose $800 so you can get a great deal. I'd love to see that BOS you signed.

Hey, more power to you if you actually paid that. Just interested to see what they did on the invoice if that was indeed what you paid. I'm looking at it right now and dealer invoice is definitely much higher than that. And there's no rebates on that bike. You definitely made out like a fat rat if that's the case.

Hey, more power to you if you actually paid that. Just interested to see what they did on the invoice if that was indeed what you paid. I'm looking at it right now and dealer invoice is definitely much higher than that. And there's no rebates on that bike. You definitely made out like a fat rat if that's the case.
They are dropping the price on these like crazy. There was a booth at the Atlanta supercross that listed the bike at 7200. Not out the door I don’t thing but still cheap

Yeah, like I said that is super cheap. Like lose $500 after hold back cheap. There is so much wrong about that price, but f*** it if you get that kind if deal. I'd hate to be the salesman on that deal, for sure!

I think your prices are wrong or maybe you don’t do the volume if this place. Like I said the actual sale price of the bike was 6700-6900 I forget exactly. They sell them at this 7249 price literally every day. It’s impossible they are losing money on them, impossible.
