Some of them are mediocre to put it nicely (Switzerland, Indonesia, Assen come to mind right off the top). Paul Malin, the announcer on the US broadcast on CBS Sportsnetwork is pretty awesome. It would be cool to see better competition at the front. I think the US Nationals will have more ups and downs and better competition in general this year than the MXGP series, just because it seems like 2 dudes (222 and 61) are so much better than everyone else. I do think having a new track or two each year is kind of cool though, even if the new tracks are sometimes crappy. Tracks are really rocky too in quite a few places, especially France and Italy.

Please get rid of Assen. Holy crap, how did they get the MXDN there? Guessing purely based on $s?

We don't need to tell you everything you need to know.

Assuming you've paid for this year's subscription, I think, that will give you access to a few years of GPs.

Just go into the Archives, and start watching. I think that the 50+ minute wrap ups for each round are in there, so you'll be able to see the track variation, and riders. Then, you can watch full Motos / GPs, if you are so inspired.

It will be a great educational journey for you - something a fair few here should take, to learn about the Riders, Teams and Tracks of The World Championships. The depth of all classes, becomes more apparent as you watch, and learn of the riders. You get drongos who just see the Top riders, and their domination, that then just slag the rest of the field. Yet, suggest that say, RC had no competition in his era, and the rest of the US field were squids (which, they most certainly were Not), and you'll have people howling in indignation. So much said by so many, just gives truth to the old line - that "ignorance is bliss".

Luongo is a Prick, and many of his decisions with regards to the GPs, suck, but, even his depredations have not managed to bring down The Motocross World Championships.

They are the future GP winners and the racing is really close!

I also think that the EMX system is one of the biggest parts of why GPs have taken big steps forward. Just imagine if the US "amateurs" (i hate that word) would race 25 min + 2 lap races before the 450 and 250 motos at all the nationals.
The reason why the Americans don't run "amateurs" races along with the big boy's races has always been a mistery for me.
Maybe the biggest mistery after that sport they call "baseball".

having spoken to Steve Dixon numerous times about this subject..... it really doesn't make any difference if you have the race in March, April, May, June, July, August, September or October

it rains in England in all of those months, sometimes a lot and sometimes none at all.... but the fact is NO ONE can predict it, and anyone who tells you that it will definitely be bad weather, is a liar. Just look at Hawkstone International, in February.... great weather

And anyone complaining from the Netherlands, when it was fricking -5c at Valkenswaard last year needs to really have a think about being a hypocrite.

Anyway, here are the reasons why Matterley being in March is a good idea:
1) It is the first race in Europe
2) The first chance a lot of people have to see the 2019 season live
3) It is before Brexit
4) It is actually well organised so people can get their passes and park in the right section without being charged by rogue security agents (cough Trentino)
5) As it is in March, people have nothing else to do.... no one is missing this GP to go to the beach
6) Weather could be good

Reasons against:
1) Weather could be shit

But yea..... the weather Sad

It would just be a bummer if Matterly was a mudder regardless of what month it is held because that is a really cool track. Looks awesome for spectators too (as long as you can see over the signage!)

$150 is steep for a season subscription imo. But after seeing some highlights I think I’m going to have to bite the bullet. Plus with two stroke racing in the EMX series how could you go wrong!

if you wait for the right time you could have gotten one for around 100 ... discount is usually earli in season , late in year
