That's what it looked like to me also. I get him being upset if that's how he found out, but as an employer I wouldn't be happy with the rider I pay to post that for the public to see.

Creating that IG post is about as stupid as his haircuts

Sorry, but this kid has become hard to pull for. Just my opinion.

I could be wrong, but he definitely seems to have a bit of an attitude that he lets out for everyone to see. I get a guy being passionate, but he does come across as a bit of a punk at times.

I have only ever posted once on this forum but I would be pretty pissed finding out 3 days before the event that I wasn't racing it.

This guys has trained for this to peak at the right time physically and mentally, to be only told now he's not racing is a joke. Cut him some slack

I'd normally agree with that, but PC is known for waiting until the last hour to announce which 2 are racing west and which 2 are racing east. It's literally like this every year for the last 10+ years.

Totally understandable to be mad. Absolutely inexcusable to publicly throw shade at your employer on social media.

I thought this is what Mitch did every year. Keep everyone prepared and ready to go just in case. This way he has a back up ready to go, if someone gets injured.

That still doesn't make it right. I completely understand Forkner's frustration with the situation. Yes he may have not handled the situation the best way but neither did the "employer"

And they’re not the only big dog on the block anymore.... so maybe more young talent will continue to go elsewhere.

Can’t be that big of a surprise since Mathes was talking about it on pulp Tuesday and I doubt he just found out that day.

Emotional actions of a child. No regard for professionalism for your employer. Understandable that he is upset if this is how he found out, but immature.

Mitch will chew his ass and he’ll get over it. That’s how it works in the real world.

They definitely should have told him before posting it on social media, and if they didn't then that's a bad deal. You still shouldn't be doing that to your employer in front of thousands of people. Especially because Mitch makes that decision, not Kawasaki.

The only inexcusable thing I’ve seen in this thread is using the term “throw shade”.

It should have been handled better by Forkner but emotions do get the best of people and if I was him I would no doubt be pissed

That's very possible. When was PC's last championship? After ruling the 125/250F class for how long, it seems everyone else has caught up and Am's have multiple choices for great bikes to ride. It's not just PC Kawi anymore. PC Kawi is what every young kid wanted to ride, myself included. Now though, I'd be looking at the Yamaha, Honda and Husky Am teams if I were a fast up and coming racer.

Last week in his vlog he said he went down about 4 weeks ago and hurt his shoulder. Only been on the bike 2 weeks and that he would most likely be on east coast. Most likely joking around with whoever runs the account

Did anyone consider that he might’ve just been posting to be a smartass and he’s not actually upset?

When you’re getting paid what he makes and Mitch is known for waiting till the last minute to announce who’s racing West coast you don’t throw shade at your team. Don’t bite the hand that feeds you.

I’d say this is most likely the answer.

He was riding at Pro Circuit’s track today at Glen Helen.

He was looking good on the bike, as guys at this level always do.

Seemed very relaxed, and he definitely improved a lot in the whooops, which seemed to be his weakness a while ago.

I just asked what the VBT thought, whether it was sarcasm or Forkner being salty. I wasn't quite sure what to make of it myself.
