From jak200, "so that’s approximately 20000+ tear offs getting washed into the sea when the tide comes in."

Could they gurantee that every single one was collected, not a chance, I really don’t understand why your so against it, it’s not harming you if they ban tear offs so why the cocky attitude against banning them and the people who want to a good deed for moto, guess we come from different parts of the world with different attitudes

I dont understand. Why are some people AGAINST actually trying to not pollute our planet more than necessary. I understand people can be lazy and ignorant (not that thats a good excuse) but to actively going out of their way to argument FOR pollution blows my fucking mind.

The intelligence level of these individuals are so low it makes you wonder how they manage to get dressed in the morning. No actually, I know people who for real can´t actually get dressed by themselves in the mornings for different reasons and they are miles more intelligent than these people.

No wonder we are rapidly destroying our planet when so many of us arent smart enough to understand its even happening, or egoistic enough to only care about themselves and nothing else.

I guess they dont care if their kids or grandkids have to live in a big pile of trash that we are leaving behind in a 100 years.

Nobody can do everything, but everyone can do something. Is that so hard to fathom?

Its not like we are saying you should go out on boats every day to pick up trash from the ocean floor. Just be a decent person and a smart individual and dont pollute more than you have to. Its not rocket science.

YOU

WERE

WRONG

Just admit it. Don't try to change the subject. You came on Vital stating "approximately 20000+ tear offs getting washed into the sea" by way of all the racers and promoters of the Weston beach race. FALSE

Ray_MXS, please stop crying about you thinking I am pro pollution. You youngsters need to really devote the tears and energy toward the Asian countries. For those of you in the UK, focus on that good old "CROWN JEWEL" India. If pollution really bothers you, get out there and pick up some trash. I have picked up tear offs at local MX races. It didn't kill me, and I didn't have to get on Vital crying about someone else threw them on the ground.

Do you youngsters even ride? Do your parents allow you to do something so dangerous?? I think a couple of you should stay away from anything sharper than a basketball.

You are just constantly upping your level of stupidity arent you.

Once again you´re calling everyone "youngsters" even though you have no idea on how old people are, like its a bad thing that people are young when in fact, its probably a good thing not everyone is stuck in the way of thinking from the 1940s like yourself.

You keep pointing to someone else as an excuse for you to not care or do anything about anything.
I cant understand why you keep bringing India up? What the fuck has any of this specific topic have anything to do with India? So just because other nations have a lot of pollution (that the western world creates the absolute most of) that gives you the right to pollute all you want, because why exactly?

What a backwards way of thinking.

A friend and I met over the weekend and we got chatting about Weston beach race and noticed that lots of riders used tear offs. It got us both thinking that you have upwards of 1000 riders using 20+ tear offs over the course of 3 hours, so that’s approximately 20000+ tear offs getting washed into the sea when the tide comes in.

Yes I know that not every rider uses tear offs but even if half of the riders did that’s still a hell of a lot of plastic, so I looked into rules of the event to see if they enforced any restrictions on tears offs and possibly the riders were just ignoring any rules set. Unfortunately there was no mention.

Weston isn’t the only beach race out there, there are other major beach races like Le Touquet and Red Bull knockout to name a few, just thought it would be a good idea to raise awareness on this as surely I’m not the only person who thinks this is crazy and can’t continue.

With the subject of plastic in our oceans at an all time high I just thought it would looked good for our sport to do the good deed and ban them?

Thoughts????

Have you made any posts on Chinese or Indian forums in an effort to encourage them to stop MASSIVE pollution?
