This is a good place to start. Maybe GuyB should indicate this on the site so everyone knows that it is exactly "The Mean Forum".

That way everyone knows what to expect....including LB and the rest of the MX elite.

........or maybe a change is in order so GuyB can get a nights sleep without wondering if someone is being a fucker to the wrong person.
Saying this is the mean board says what exactly? Its only ok if the older memebers agree its ok, or everything is a free for all?

I'm sorry, I was just offering some "ideas" to the thread, that the original poster started asking for idea's for new rules.

I didn't mean to cross any lines.

Licensed Professional VitalDrive Fisherman License #2009_001 *renewed*

Does this gentlemen run this site?, maybe I should just keep to myself and learn more "cool dad stuff" about SX/MX so i can share more with my son.

I thought trying to contribute to a thread with honest idea's, especially coming from a "new guy" would be appropriate in this thread given the topic.

You didn't cross any lines.
Many of us have been around each other for 10 years or more and we've migrated from board to board on several occasions.
We are the wretched refuse, and we're ok with that, but I don't want you to expect something that will never happen
Thank you flarider. That makes sense to me. I expecting some hazing so to speak, but I was not trying to start trouble either. I guess it's like everywhere else sometimes people just take things too far, huh?

Maybe we need hall monitors or RA's like in the dorms in college, haha.

Ok, bed time for me, just wanted to jump online and see if there were updates from Saturday, after i put Jr. to bed.

Canadians do have a sense of humor....they have to.

See the joke there?...harmless, and civilized.

All I'm saying is imagine yourself as somebody who gets their bread and butter from motocross. Perhaps even a newbie that hasn't raced but just went to an awsome race. I think the reason for this thread is to say that it has gotten way out of hand, which it has.

There are many more effiecent ways to express yourself other than "STFU Noob"

Brooks is an example on the professional front. The guy wore his heart on his sleeve. If I had to read about professional supercross from the noob perspecive, I would think that this sport is the most corrupt and unsportsmen of all. Some of you draw that conclusion...the AMA is a bad deal, don't get me started on roadracing. The best in the world that we come through this series do not bullshit people. They just don't. WHY? because they have to feel the consequences if it blows up in their face.

.
Some of it does get out of hand, even more so lately, but like Dave says, this will always be the "mean" board and if a person doesn't like what they see here, they have millions of options. No one is forcing anyone to read here.

That being said, the personal attacks are way out of hand and I do my best to not get involved or add to them. I'm guilty of doing so in the past, but I try not to if I can help it.

The whole noob this is all in good fun and it kind of weeds out the people that can't hack a bit of overzealous fun. If people would bother to read the rules, one of the first rules of this place is that a new member should just read posts for a while to get the feel of the place, not just jump in and announce their presence, which is a guarantee of a sound thrashing.

Two rules is all you need.

1. Dont be a dick, treat every one with respect and you will be treated with respect.

2. Dont try tro be mister know it all, if someone is privy to some inside knowledge, thank them for sharing instead of telling them they dont know what they are talking about. If someone knows more then you, bring some facts before you argue with them, other wise look at rule 1.

I am sure there are people that post here that wouldnt mind sharing some otherwise unknown stuff, but dont like being bashed and rediculed after they do it.

Not really. Being a bit mean is a whole lot different than an outright bashing. There's a line there somewhere, problem is who/what will establish it?

For example, it's perfectly acceptable to give R-acer all the crap in the world, he deserves it. Now that I think about it that goes for all Canadians on this board.

Does this gentlemen run this site?, maybe I should just keep to myself and learn more "cool dad stuff" about SX/MX so i can share more with my son.

I thought trying to contribute to a thread with honest idea's, especially coming from a "new guy" would be appropriate in this thread given the topic.
