I don’t get this game. I can’t lean at all with my rider or else he crashes. I can’t rail berms on the outside because he crashes. I just don’t get it. Several hours in now and still can’t get it.
Lay off the right stick and use some throttle control. Its not a light switch.

So I'm on XBOX and I haven't done all the tracks yet and have only done a few on time attack but I'm Top 15 or better at Lommel, Assen, Agueda, and Leon and 22nd at WW Ranch on the 250. I haven't really rode the 450 yet. This game is a blast on 250's tho!

I’m on ps4 and I did all the training. I haven’t had the sound glitch, at least not yet.

Well when I had sound issues it was because I “haven’t played the game enough” and I “need more play time”.... now you guys have sound issues and it’s no biggie...

I demand an apologyLaughing I’m kidding... hopefully there is a patch soon! Loving the game so far.

My ktm 450 sounds like absolute shit. Haven’t done training. Other than that my audio is fine. My ktm sounds like it’s always lugging..

How is the online community for PS4 and Xbox? More racers than All Out?

Does it care anyone that you only can choose better sponsorships and that there are no bids from teams that want you. I mean you become world champion in your career and the only thing that you can change for the second year is your sponsors and the class. There are no teams interested?

It would be cool if in the start of your career you can choose between sponsorships... If you are doing well but not top 5 well you can get offers from better sponsors and then when you are top 5 and top 3 material, that teams can hire you.

Also I miss the MXON in the career mode. Like if you're the best of your country in MX2 or within the two best in MXGP Class... Than it would be awesome to be selected for that event and race it.

I definitely agree, they need to desperately change the way the career mode works. If they could copy and paste the F1 career mode to this game it would be the best moto game of all time undisputed.

Cornering tips anyone?

Bought the game and jumped straight into extreme career mode and I’m getting 22nd every time I’m out there. Although I did qualify 16th once in timed qualifying.

Dunno if it's only me. But I'm in my second season, I choose Vertex as main-sponsor but I'm racing the Monster Energy Kawasaki from Petar Petrov. A bit weird. Ideal dream would be:

EMX125 - EMX250 - MX2/MXGP and Loretta, Ponca, Mini O's, ... some others to fill the EMX gap in US. Then US250/US450 both SX and MX. And when you do good in MX2 or MXGP offers from America and the other way around too. So you could race so much seasons in your career without feeling bored.

Anyone else not care for career mode? Constantly waiting for the game to load, then the menu screen, then setting the bike up again for the 2nd moto, more loading etc just to race the same track twice doesn't interest me as much. I'm enjoying setting up a 15+2 or (haven't yet but) a 30+2 moto on the same track and just ripping laps, working on lap times and lines etc with a difficult AI setting.

Have put some time in on it and am enjoying it. At first I thought it was a re-skin of MXGP3, but with more time and learning the physics, this game has definitely stepped it up.

I see a lot of people complaining about sliding out super easy and unpredictably in turns. I've crashed a lot doing similar, but every time I can see why it happened - too much lean angle/too much throttle too soon. Easily fixed by remembering that your throttle button is not a light switch - it actually depends on how much pressure you put on the button (half throttle, ease it on, flat out etc). Also, shoot me but, the rewind button is always there. I'm trying to stop using it, and only will if I make a stupid mistake because of a lack of concentration.

Enjoying it for sure. Love that line choice and bike set up are more important than ever.

Lay off the right stick. Most of the steering is with the left. I tend use the right a lot less and when I do it’s usually either front or back weighting of the bike. If you use the right stick to much you’ll tend to wash out. Possibly try a higher gear and at the very least gently squeeze the gas. If you go from nothing to full throttle you’ll slide out a lot of the time. You may want to mess with bike set up also, it makes a big difference if it’s set up right or not. Once you get it down you’ll be qualifying 1st every time and lapping the ai. I’ve been playing the extreme career and some tracks I’m better than others but I’ve managed to lap the entire field on the one track and I’m not finished with my first season yet.

On Xbox I’m able to find quick matches pretty easily. People seem to like the game so I assume it’s as popular as the other gp games

Game tip. Use right stick wisely until you get use to
the game.i think it helps a lot with entering corners

Regarding the career mode. It is super weird to me how they used to have most of everything people are missing back in MXGP 1,2,3. You started out picking a sponsor or a "lower" tier team.

As you progressed you could go into a screen that showed team interest level. When that hit 100% you could pick one in the following transfer window. Or stay on your own stuff. And the "privateer" sponsor graphics where actually graphics, not a full on horrible bike wrap. Which, you could also chose not to run and instead run one of the many regular graphic kits.

This all went away in Supercross but i'd for sure thought they would bring it back to GP. Such a weird step backwards?

Oh - And a Maaaajor issue that also was introduced in SX. When your controllers battery dies mid race it will just keep going with a pop up saying you need to reassign a controller, but the game does not pause. So stupid. Not sure ive ever seen a game that does not pause in single player mode when this happens. There goes that race.

And, Ernee can suck it. Such a frustrating track haha. Ottobiano is rad though, so far my favorite.

Just wanna confirm completing the training fucks up your bike audio completely. The developers at milestone need to get their shit together and update their game. My bikes audio has 3 tunes, I actually muted the bike sounds because of how bad it is.

Btw, completingthe training does help a noticeable amount, too bad it breaks the game.

PC here - no audio glitches before or after training. That’s gotta be annoying.

Those who have an audio glitch is it all the time? On mine 3rd person view seems to sound fine but in first person it doesn’t sound right.

3rd person is all I really play, I didn’t think to change to 1st person. I started up a time attack to test out the skills from completing the training, and instantly noticed the audio glitch I’ve read on here. Training is only done on 4 strokes so maybe it doesn’t affect the 2 strokes.. currently reinstalling my game to see if that fixes it

If you don’t play on first person then I weep for you. I never played first either but now that I’ve tried it I’ll never go back. Give it a shot

I have been doing extreme career and winning no problem. What does the training do, and does it change anything as far as how the bike handles etc?

Someone interesting in doing some races? Also maybe it's interesting in posting Steam names so we could add each other to race against each other online...

Alright so I’ve put a few more hours on it and i retract every comment I previously made on the game. This games rad.
The random crashing from OJ’ing a jump by like 10 ft has disappeared, I can more confidently hit stuff, come up a little short or oj it a lot and still ride it out.
The scrub or animated whip looks much better. When I first started it just looked like an awkward turn down kinda thing, no lean angle just a 180 deg turn in the air and then 180 back straight. Now it actually looks like a scrub and it has the effect of one too.
After I completed the training I do have an audio bug. As My rider goes over the holeshot line the audio bugs out for maybe half a second then returns to normal, I’ve sorta come to expect this kind of stuff from milestone games however.
The throttle control gimmick is cool, I’ve worked it out now, and can pretty easily wrap the throttle on coming out of any corner without much issue, unless it’s off camber or uphill, or uphill off camber (ernee I’m talking about you). I only use the right stick lean the entrance to corners, and the apex I release and apply throttle, this works for me well.
Im winning most races now in my first season, difficulty set to hard.
Orlyonok is my favourite track so far.

I think I have different settings for almost every track. If you read the description under each bike setting it should help with your bike set up. I usually go off of a base setting I think works decent then depending what it seems like it’s doing right or wrong look at the bike set up and look at the description for each setting. A few pages back there was a bike set up of there settings maybe start there then adjust to your liking. If your sliding out the suspension settings will explain what the +or – settings will change. It’s the same for if it tends to bounce or ot want to turn. Lots of things you can adjust. My biggest tip would be when it feels good save it in the bike set up, I just put the name of the track. If you do it that way next time you play that track you’ll have your good setup ready to go. Honestly probably all of us use completely different set ups depending how we play the game.

I’m getting better. Jumped right into career mode and went 22-22-22-22 the first weekend. Then the second I went 22-22-16-12. Now I’m on weekend three and I just qualified first in timed qualifying. Onto the qualifying race now. Really getting the hang of it. Amazing game.

I'm running a 125 and coming mid pack 10-15 but can pull a holeshot. Love how hard the game is rather than jumping on it and rinsing everyone!
