Yep, when he's behind Stewart in points or if there close enough in Vegas and he could
lose the championship. Otherwise, why would he let Stewart take him out and lose the championship.

He doesnt have to just yet, now if James reels off the next 3 and we come into Vegas All or Nothing, then the gloves come off and its an all out bare knuckle brawl.

I dont know why his strategy is so hard for some people to grasp, they must of never raced a series for a title in their lives.

It's not that easy. Nobody is as fast as James so they can't bang bars with him. They can drive over him when he's laying on the ground but that's about as close as we're going to get this year.

Of course we all understand his strategy...but damnit man get up there and compete for a win. If you want to BE the man you got to BEAT the man. And in a 20 lap race he hasnt done it yet. I am a James fan but i want to see the race, make passes, exchange the lead for a few laps. Earn the title by battling with the only guy than can run your pace, dont win it by sitting there waiting for him to make mistakes.

I get what Chad is doing, and see it as being the smart thing at the time.

This coming from a guy who raced a series and was the only one in the class at one of the 5 races. I knew I didn't have to win any of the remaining races to get the championship. So I didn't, chap way to get a championship, but it isn't about how you got it. It's about getting it.

As a fan I want to see some bars being banged, but as a racer, you have to look at the bigger picture.

I understand Reed's strategy, but the fact is, he doesn't have the speed to race Stewart. It's as simple as that. Reed didn't take the "pray for a gift" strategy by choice, he took it because it's all he has. He did the same thing in '05, '06 and '07 and it didn't work. It might work this year.

I understand he has to use strategy because he is slower and all but I never saw RC back down from JS. Supposable he was slower too. (In SX)

RC wasn't as fast as Stewart indoors and Stewart was just a tick off RCs pace outdoors, but they raced each other like the loser was going to have to walk home. That's when I became a Stewart fan.

Why dont all of them in the main hang it out and go for the win? Same guys make the main yet get lapped every race. James is a little guy, so was RC so I dont think its a strength advantage, just a mental game.

Stewart was not just a tick off RC's pace outdoors.

RC could run that pace all moto, x 24, and James pushed it and gave us some exciting passes and them ate shit being superman.

James has no off switch.
