Herlings was in the 250 class for SEVEN years and he won 3 titles. RC was in that class 3 years and he won 3 titles. I know Herlings has had way more injuries but that's part of the game. RC was in better physical shape than everyone and he rarely got banged up.

I find this more impressive, flying in a curve
And I seem to remember RC absolutely smoking Everts at his home track while on an inferior bike. I also remember World Champions (Tortelli, Reed, etc) coming over here and getting dominated outdoors.
Also, with the group of riders in the AMA during that period (RC, Stewart, Windham, Reed, Vuillemin, etc) the AMA was definitely the superior of the two series at the time.
Pit Row
Cut the crapp with that bs of a sx , nothing more boring to watch then sx.. remove it from the calender. They should come over to ride the mxgp to become a world champion and when that's over.. taking a holiday and the euro riders should go ride the ama nationals in the america to earn a national title... that will be something to watch but it's never gonna happen....
My bad on Reed, he finished 2nd in his rookie year to Pichon (also a badass on a bike). The very next year he was in the States. Also, Tortelli gave RC a run for ONE season and that was before Carmichael went crazy with his training regiment. Even without the injuries, Tortelli wouldn't have gotten a sniff of RC from 2002 onwards.
