How to get a TX or XC 300 to rev out farther.

I am trying to make my 2018 TX300 a little more "moto" ready. I love the low end torque the bike has as it allows me to carry 3rd gear through most corners, but the bike doesn't rev out on top as far as I would like. Just curious what people have done or have seen done to other 300s to accomplish what I am trying to. Thanks!

My bike is pretty much all stock. Running a FMF turbine core and a JD jetting kit in the Mikuni carb.

remove the bottom piston ring. If you don't believe it, ask Derek Harris.

run the pc silencer (304, not r304), noticeable improvement in overrev

Really, both the PC factory sound silencer and pipe help a lot, but nothing is going to give you more overrev and top end increase like a 38mm Keihin PWK and STIC metering block. Really, you’re going to have significantly more power everywhere. You’d be doing yourself a disservice by overlooking that option.
