one thing i would like to see is the randomization of online races be a little more random. i'm getting sick of racing the same 3 tracks over and over. there are some real gems of tracks on this game, playing the same few over and over gets old.

being able to practice the track for 2 minutes before the race starts is a genius idea though. love that.
A lot of times the host can choose the next track so that's not really something the devs can change.

there needs to be nationals and sx separated. if i choose to start a national lobby i should only choose national tracks that way when someone joins a national race, the next one doesn’t go to sx. and for both there should be sx/nat

May not be enough players to separate and I think every lobby is user created

I don't know what changed but I hadn't touched this game since the release, and the last two weeks I've been really growing to like it after I got the settings right. And it didn't take near as long this time. Everything feels a lot different and better. I've been doing the time trials and I'm absolutely destroying all the times I set in the beginning when I hated the game. The way the body language of the rider is and how the flow of the game is seems night and day. The ruts seem a lot better as far as flowing through them. Whatever they've done, it's the right direction.

yeah i agree. the game is primo right now. i’ve finaly made the switch to first person view and i feel like i can put the bike wherever i want it. they changed the turning physics when you turn and lean forward. it’s not just forward or backward now, you can push up diagonally and get a sharper lean.

once they get the online lobbies running better i’ll have no complaints really. i just want more outdoor tracks to ride

I think a lot gave up on this game way to early it's only gonna get better I think. I appreciate and enjoy Milestones games as well but the mx vs atv guys spend way more time with a game improving it before moving on to the next game they are developing. I'm looking forward to some good dlc tracks.

Only took them 6 updates. Seems like they release a game and then finish making the game thru updates.

I actually totally agree with this and wish it wasn't that way. If day one release was a finished product it would be much better. I think those days may be gone it gets released on release date and finish through patches. It really sucks for people who don't have Internet they will never get a finished product. I'm still glad they improve it through patches but a better day one release would really help players opinions of a game.

i turned on MES the other day and am blown away at how shitty the physics are compared to All-Out. like they're really fuckin' bad. i have been watching some videos on Spodeboy's daily tracks and the tracks look sweet but holy shit the gameplay looks really weak.

and that's hard for me to say because i really liked it before All-Out came out.

the latest version of All-Out is titties.

Pretty horrendous when you have to come out of a corner and literally click up two gears to go anywhere. Never liked the weird flat track cornering it does.

Same. I turned it on a few weeks ago for about 10 minutes and couldn’t do it. All out feels so much better. The way you can rail corners to hit a big line gets me a little chubby sometimes

I prefer the gameplay of Allout, I’m not saying MES is a bad game but it’s a fact the day the compound came out for it I hadn’t played it in awhile and I messed with the compound a little and that was the last time I played it. I’m sure I’ll put it back in at some point and I’ll have fun but I’ll end up playing Allout again as my go to game for sure. I think the rainbow crew still has work to do, and I don’t think they disagree Allout has to make the braap riders more usable and improve the ai , to me this is where it is lacking. The championship mode needs to be customizable once new dlc tracks are added so the new tracks aren’t just single races. The physics to me feel so good though I think if those areas improve they won’t have to do much but add dlc. I do hope they continue to improve however in all areas like braking bumps would be a very welcome addition. I still think the guys who absolutely hate Allout should try different bike settings they can give the game a totally different feel depending on settings. I’ll support both franchises but when I think about which one I play the most I just don’t get how guys do not like Allout at all and refuse to give it a chance it’s weird players opinions very so much and makes me glad I’m not a game developer no matter what they do someone’s gonna hate it and someone else is gonna say best ever.

Random talk about the old days

22Ryann I agree with most of what you said and you hit some very good points. I have fond memories of getting home from school (like 5th or 6th grade) and playing MCM2 for hours. It was different back then like you said...the community and the amount of user created content and the amount of people ready to race at any time of the day. The new content created daily kept the game fresh and is why is was popular for so long. It's hard for me to explain, but it seemed like perfect timing the way it played out with the internet being relatively new back in 2000. Now you can game with real people and download all this stuff fans of the game made. It was just new and exciting back then. Mix the heyday of the internet with the first really good mx game and you end up with something that hasn't been topped in 17 years (in my opinion).

I'd love to see the developers allow users to create tracks/bikes/riders again. I don't see it happening unfortunately.

i’ve been racing a group of guys online in private lobbies and man, this game is truly epic. it really came to life after the last update with some of the cornering tweaks and whatever else they did. 14 people races and we’re all just crushing it. battles everywhere and constantly getting insane lapptimss. i’m not trying to sound like a fast guy lol but man, i have really gotten fast from racing these types of guys and the game just allows for full bike control and epic racing. it’s unreal. i can’t even explain how much fun and “realistic” the things that go on in the these races are. corner passes, line selections and full bike control thanks to the physics and a month ago i wouldn’t have thought i would be putting in the laptimes and riding the way i am now. and talking to all these other dudes, they all agree that the game is the best and it’s funny cause i hear so much negativity about the game. to the point where i feel the need to tell the rainbow guys that there really are plenty of dudes out there that appreciate the game and see all the hard work that was put into the physics and at this point...even the motocross tracks. the motocross tracks are really really well done actually. i don’t mean to sound like a fanboy but damn this game is great. i can’t wait to see what they drop for dlc, i’ve heard some really awesome info on multiple environments with tracks on them and even the outdoor national replica tracks. and this info is from guys that are in touch with the devs that i’ve been racing with online. i just want all my other moto brothers to get the same experience i am from the game so if you’re struggling with it (of course there will always be people that no matter what will hate the game) keep putting time into and just like music, it will come to life on you over time.

After they patched the exhaust glitch on the CRF450 did it stick for some people that have already done it? I'm pretty fast, and get the win most races, but theres like one or two guys I see all the time that just absolutely destroy me. I don't see how it would even be possible to lay down the times they do. Someone named Cyrogenic, or something like that on PS4..if you're a member here, whats the secret.

@holtergeist797 awesome to hear that there’s great racing going on. I am on singleplayer doing auto gears and nowhere near online yet. I get wrecked even by the slowest riders...I suck, but I still have so much fun! This game brings me back to my childhood days because the last mx game I played was like 15 years ago. Smile

And also, do you mind sharing your bike setup settings?

so i’m racing with a guy that a month ago i thought for sure there’s no doubt he had some type of glitch. but now i’ve been racing with him in private lobbies and no...he’s just that good. and i’m going seconds a lap faster then i was when i was “fast.” ive had 2 people report me for “cheating” when i wasn’t. but i understand why, because when i got smoked i thought something was up too. but when i race with the guys in the private group we’re all ripping the same fast laps. it’s kinda crazy how much faster you can go even when you think you’re going fast. that’s what’s cool about this game. there is definitely one little hint in terms of carrying momentum and cornering but i don’t want to share lol. its not bike setup either. in fact, most of the guys i’m racing with all run different setups and most agree that setup really isn’t all that important. some guys actually run everything right in the middle. so don’t worry to much about bike setup. i run everything to the right except suspension but some guys run stuff to the left of middle. the fastest guy i race with rides a 350 against us on 450s. the game is all about carrying momentum, hitting the right lines, being consistent and doing it fast. especially in outdoors, that’s why i keep saying motocross in this game is amazing. there’s so many different ways aroud the track and it’s incredible how much faster you can go even when you think you’re going fast. there’s tons of bumps everywhere and you gotta find the right way through it all. if you’re gettjng kicked everywhere, you’re not hitting the right lines.

don’t forget to lean forward and lean backward. it’s just as important as left and right. and the clutch isn’t just used for the power boost.

i did have the honda glitch for about 2 hours after 1.06 and it just went away on its own. but i have heard that some people still have it. i race random lobbies and win all the time and then get with a group of guys ive met and if i make one little mistake at any point, im barely getting 6th. the motos i win against those guys, i’m literally not making any mistakes for 5 laps. you gotta just keep playing

That dude is fast I hate when I see him in the lobby lol. I can usually win too but he smokes me even on my best days. Last night he would slow down to let me get close then he would check out.

I️ recommend everyone to turn “airborne throttle” on its under gameplay settings. Seems like the rev limiter is higher and you can bring whips back easier.

Hmm I will have to try turning that on thanks. Been messing with the tuning again and turned my suspension down to the softer side. Seems to keep the bike planted and put the power down more. Still quite a few guys on PC that can just blow me away. Heck the one dude was riding a 250 2 stroke and still winning.

@holtergeist797 are you talking about leaning the rider forward in corners is the secret to keeping momentum?

All the stats are about half. Everything is modded fine. No clue why it is so incredible slow. It's like an 80. Anyone?

Someone should stream that. I would love to watch since I’m too slow in comparison and don’t know the SX tracks by heart yet.
