I’m an Electrician mate. Been working in the mines for a while. I’ve also got a lot of people that help me like motokote with suspension and others with parts. It’s still not cheap though

I bet man! Already looking pretty sweet.

I'm building an 05 YZ250 right now and all my money has gone into redoing the motor completely. Luckily my wheels from my 450 that I had fit with different spacers and I get help with graphics, but man I don't know how everyone else does all the stuff that they do. I can't get a pipe or silencer for a bit because I'm running out of money for the build haha.

Thanks man. Yeah I had read through your build yesterday actually. Going to be sweet when it’s done. I built an 05 yz250 a few years back was awesome. I did the sss fork swap i used late model 450 forks and clamps. Had no where near the amount of work going into these Suzuki’s I have now though

Thanks man, I can't wait until it's done this weekend.

That was a good lookin yz! I thought about the SSS swap, but I'll wait and see how the stock fork works. I actually have another set of 05 forks on my 98 that are all set up for me, but I haven't ridden that bike yet. I hear a bunch of people say the 05 forks work just fine for most guys and are more easily adjusted internally, so we will see.

Ok so parts have started rolling in. This sorts out all the small ti bolts.
Full engine ti
All plastics, fuel tank, clutch and front brake, rear brake and guard mounts also chain slide and guide (carbon), exhaust mounting and spark plug coil mounting.

Nice set of kite triple clamps with ti nut. Will have ti pinch bolts to go with. Not sure if I will keep the red anodise on these clamps. I may redo them either polished silver or kashima Brown.

Carbon chain slide also

So as of now the only ti that won’t be on the bike will be front and rear axle unless someone has an rmz front and rm rear they want to sell for a good price. I have a ti rear nut on the way though.

All engine mount and linkage ti has been ordered.

Frame will be back tomorrow from powder just waiting on the cases arriving back from coating and vertex top end.

If anyone has anything to add or some segestions I’m all ears or if you pick up on something I havent let me know.

I found them on eBay a fair while ago just randomly. eBay is my biggest friend with this build. I’m running never rm250 2 stroke brakes. The only difference is the rear caliper is a newer style. The sight glasses are welded and being cerakoted. I have the calipers already. Not sure what over size front to run. Love the moto stuff but leaning towards a galfer at the moment

I had to find each bolt and nut seperate. Massive pain but I eventually found what I needed between eBay and other ti suppliers.

Later Crf front caliper is much lighter than the newer RM ones. I did that on my 06 rm

Frames back turned out awesome. Looks darker than it is in the photos. It’s almost the stock silver just slightly darker.

Ti footpegs not sure if I’ll use these ones or a set of pro pegs

Very cool build! Looking forward to seeing the end result.

A bit late now, but I wouldn't recommend Ti brake pads pins, they don't last, I've tried them in the past and they grooved/dented quicker than steel.
Also +1 for the Honda front caliper and MC, done this to my RM, a lot better than the stock RM set up.

I'll take those pegs off your hands if you don't use them! Let me know.

Thanks for the info mate. I think the full Honda front brake setup would be the way to go really. As for the ti brake pins I’m not to worried about them flogging out as this bike is only going to be ridden a few times.

I’ve got a master cylinder off a 08 crf and a caliper off a 16 crf if your interested, the caliper may need to be welded and re taped where the brake pin goes which I can have done for you if needed

These clamps came up soooo good after changing them back to silver. Should look awesome against some kashima forks. Nice superlite ti nut and drilled ti number plate bolt. Ti pinch bolts will be used as well.

Aparently the Kite triple clamps are the lightest you can get, are these for an RM or RMZ? I went with Ride Engineering clamps for newer RMZ and the steering stops are different, going to make a new steering stop set up when I do the frame swap.

I went with a motostuff 280mm blade kit and honestly its almost too much, I only put 5 hours on the bike after the total rebuild when I found the rooted frame so maybe its somthing I would have gotten used to. I was going to do the crf conversion but the 280mm kit is more than enough on a 125, well for me at least but if it’s only gunna be ridden a few times before being put on display you might as well go all out.

I’ve ridden with the galfer 270mm setup with new steel lines and holy hell it stops unreal. Your exactly right though I may as well go all out haha.
Those kite clamps are super light as well. Should looks sweet with some solid mount bar clamps and ti bolts.
My frame is in perfect condition not one bit of rust and not one ding underneath I couldn’t believe it. It looks unreal with new powder now.
