That shock looks awesome!

How did you get the swing arm looking so nice!?
Thanks mate the shock is so cool.
The swing arm I had done by pioneer finishes. There about 7 hours work in getting it to look that good. I’ve done a couple before but never turned out as good as this one. Sanding them down is really the only way to do them.

More parts coming together. Small things are happening and starting to take the shape of a bike again. Laced some wheels up with stainless spokes and talon ultra light hubs. Some light speed carbon and rainbow titanium bolts looks nice as well

Hope someone can help with this. I have a set of forks I’m going to use and has some weird internals. It has 12.5mm damper rods kashima coated. The stock rmz rods are 12mm and I can’t find anyone who knows anything about shoes 12.5mm rods. Also these weird looking valves that are titanium Any info would be great

Long time between updates here. Things are coming along still. I have some suspension coatings done and should have it all back in the bike this week

It’s not a cheap option. About $1000 for a set of forks. It takes a long time for the parts to be sent away and arrive back to aus as well

Does it make a huge different performance wise, or would you be better just getting a set of a-kit forks?

What’s else is left to do on the bike, I’m hanging to see what it looks like when you finish.

Very nice build...love the ti rainbow colour's fork tubes etc........the swingarm looks nice but look's a little scratched up in the close-up pics?.....was thinking of having my swinger cerakoated in the grey/tungsten colour.....the purple anodising looks nice too (on the right parts/bike).....reminded me of this one for some reason? SmileSmile anyways good work....

Those coating are awesome with kashima. A kits probabaly about 3 times the price. A kit would be nice but this is the next closest thing. The forks are 47mm newer rmz forks with some bud racing parts and an rm250 shock (bigger shaft).

Geez what’s left.
Pretty much the chamber I have to have done.
I’m doing the linkage as we speak. Not sure if I want to just have it clean silver with no cast lines or anodise it black grey or brown.
Bars, plastics, seat cover then a sticker kit.
Can’t wait to have this thing done

Thanks man. Yeah the coating turned out awesome. I can honestly say the swing arm looks better than new. The close up pics make it look that way for some reason. It has that factory look though.
Those purple parts aren’t for this build just posted because it was something I did that looked cool for a mate. I don’t think purple would be right for this bike anywhere

May as well go all out and anodise them haha.

How did you go with finding parts, I just picked up a dirt cheap 01 model and I’m debating whether I sell it and try find a cr or do a build on it.

Well that’s why I went with an rm. good parts are sort of hard to find but going full rmz front end opens you up a bit. A lot of parts cross over for rm and rmz though.

Linkage is sorted. Stripped the ano on this pro circuit/ works connection pro launch then replaced the bolt with some more titanium.

I’ll get the bike out in some sun and take a few nice photos as she’s sitting with the suspension in in the next few days. Would love to hear what people are thinking and what the bike needs more or less of.

Looks to me like a pipe hanger & a shark fin for the countershaft sprocket. Badass looking for sure. Nice build!
