KTM upper shock bearing

I know on the PDS shocks that KTM recommends NOT greasing them. What about on the current linkage-equiped bikes? The manual i got with my new 450FE is more than a little vague in this area...

Do you mean gease on the bolt? I put a very light amount so it’s not dry.

I'm talking about the spherical "heim" bearing at the top shock mount. On all the jap bikes, you grease the ball and seals.

No grease on any of those bushings according to service manual for YZs anyways

Its probably up to you. A lot of dirt gets up there and grease holds onto it & will shorten the life of the bearing.

Do not grease that bearing. Apply a small amount on the bolt but do not grease. Grease eats away at the teflon coating and causes them to wear and get loose much much quicker
